Prime Video has released a new trailer for Blade Runner 2099, giving us a much bigger look at Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer in the upcoming limited series ahead of its November release. The new footage debuted at New York Comic Con, following the first teaser released earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con. Set 50 years after the events of Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049, the eight-episode series follows Cora, played by Schafer, a fugitive who takes on one final identity as a Blade Runner and finds herself working with Olwen, a Replicant played by Yeoh who has only days left to live.
Together, they are hunting a runaway who is hiding a secret that could threaten the city around them. The new trailer reveals more of Cora and Olwen’s partnership and the mystery at the centre of the series, with the footage also pointing towards the possibility of a cure for Replicants. Los Angeles has changed considerably since Blade Runner 2049, with the latest look showing a world where the balance between humans and Replicants has shifted again.
You can watch the new Blade Runner 2099 trailer below.
The cast also includes Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Matthew Needham, Tom Burke and Maurizio Lombardi. Silka Luisa created the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer, with original Blade Runner director Ridley Scott also among the executive producers. Jonathan van Tulleken, known for Shōgun, directed the opening two episodes.

The Blade Runner franchise began with Scott’s 1982 film starring Harrison Ford, before Denis Villeneuve continued the story with Blade Runner 2049 in 2017. Blade Runner 2099 will be the franchise’s first major live-action television series, with all eight episodes arriving together on Prime Video.
For CultureCues, this new trailer looks even more epic than the first teaser. We already loved the casting of Hunter Schafer and Michelle Yeoh, and seeing more of Cora and Olwen together has made us even more excited for November. The action looks brutal and visually it still feels completely at home in the Blade Runner world. We cannot wait to see how the story around the Replicants plays out, and getting all eight episodes at once is a definite bonus.
All eight episodes of Blade Runner 2099 premiere globally on Prime Video on 25 November 2026.
