Dominic West and Sienna Miller are officially going to WAR, with Sky releasing the full trailer for its new legal drama ahead of the series arriving in October. The eight-part drama stars West and Miller as British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson and international film star Carla Duval, whose bitter divorce becomes a major legal battle between two of London’s most powerful rival law firms. The new trailer gives us a fuller look at the case, the lawyers fighting it and just how ugly things are about to become.

What Does the WAR Trailer Show?

Both Morgan and Carla enter the divorce convinced that they are the injured party, with the trailer repeatedly returning to the message: “You are the wronged party here.” Their separation soon becomes just as much about the lawyers surrounding them. Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne each set out to win for their client, pulling ambitious young lawyer Jonathan “Johnny” Warren, played by Archie Renaux, into a world where careers, reputations and relationships can all become part of the fight.

The full trailer also gives more time to the wider ensemble, including Phoebe Fox as Serena Byrne and James McArdle as Nicholas Taylor, the couple running Taylor & Byrne, alongside Nina Sosanya as Beatrice “Queen Bea” Ubosi and Pip Torrens as St John Smallwood at rival firm Cathcarts & Sons.

When Is WAR Released on Sky?

WAR premieres in the UK on Friday, 2 October on Sky and streaming service NOW.

The first series contains eight episodes and will be released weekly. Sky has not confirmed the complete dated episode schedule, so while a November finale would be expected if the series runs without interruption, only the 2 October premiere is confirmed for now. The series launches one day earlier in the US on HBO, with WAR also streaming through HBO Max in several international territories.

Who Is in the WAR Cast?

Dominic West leads as Morgan Henderson, with Sienna Miller playing his estranged wife Carla Duval. Archie Renaux stars as Johnny Warren, while Phoebe Fox and James McArdle play Serena Byrne and Nicholas Taylor at Taylor & Byrne.

Nina Sosanya and Pip Torrens lead the opposing legal team as Beatrice “Queen Bea” Ubosi and St John Smallwood. The wider cast includes Celia Imrie, Nick Mohammed, Emma Laird, Aran Murphy, Archie Panjabi, Adrian Scarborough, Shaheen Jafargholi, Akiya Henry, Honor Swinton Byrne, Miles Jupp, Kartanya Maynard, Alexandra Mardell, Dylan Edwards, Mark Quartley and Steve Furst.

Is WAR Already Returning for Series 2?

Yes. Sky and HBO gave WAR a two-series order before the first series had even premiered. The drama will work as an anthology, with each series following a different major legal case. Series 2 will move on from Morgan and Carla’s divorce and centre on a defamation battle, with Marisa Tomei, Kelly Macdonald and David Harewood already announced for the next story.

For CultureCues, Dominic West and Sienna Miller already looked like brilliant casting from the first teaser, and the full trailer gives us much more of the tension between both the couple and the lawyers around them. The idea of each side being told they are the wronged party should make for a very messy divorce, and the legal rivalry looks just as important as the marriage breaking down. With such a strong cast and George Kay behind it, WAR remains firmly on our October watchlist. Court is almost in session.

WAR premieres weekly on Sky and NOW from 2 October 2026.
