Rivals Season 2 is officially heading back to Disney+, with the second half of the series beginning on 11 November 2026. The hit British drama will return with six new episodes, kicking off with a three-episode premiere. Disney+ has also released new first-look images ahead of the return.

Based on Dame Jilly Cooper’s Rutshire Chronicles, the new episodes pick up after the mid-season finale and bring David Tennant, Alex Hassell, Aidan Turner, Bella Maclean, Danny Dyer and the wider cast back for more drama in the Cotswolds. The battle between Tony Baddingham and Declan O’Hara is far from over, while Rupert Campbell-Black and Taggie O’Hara both have plenty left to deal with when the story resumes.

When Does Rivals Season 2 Return?

Rivals Season 2 returns on Wednesday, 11 November on Disney+ in the UK and internationally, with Hulu carrying the series in the US. Three episodes will be released together on the first day, beginning the second half of the season after its mid-series break.

Disney+ has confirmed that six new hour-long episodes remain in Season 2. The complete release pattern for the final three episodes has not been detailed in the announcement, so we will update the schedule once Disney+ confirms when they will arrive.

What Happens in the New Rivals Season 2 Episodes?

The story resumes with Rutshire dealing with the fallout from the first half of the season. Tony Baddingham and Declan O’Hara’s fight for control continues, while Rupert Campbell-Black is forced to confront problems of his own and Taggie O’Hara finds herself caught in the middle of the growing franchise war.

The remaining episodes will take the characters through Bonfire Night, the Hampshire Hunt Ball and Christmas, with relationships and alliances coming under more pressure as the season moves towards its conclusion. Disney+ is also teasing the question of who, if anyone, will actually get a happy ending by the time Season 2 finishes.

Who Is Returning for Rivals Season 2?

David Tennant returns as Lord Tony Baddingham, with Alex Hassell as Rupert Campbell-Black, Aidan Turner as Declan O’Hara, Nafessa Williams as Cameron Cook and Bella Maclean as Taggie O’Hara. For CultureCues, November cannot come quickly enough. Rivals is one of those shows where practically everyone has something going on, and the first half left more than enough hanging over Tony, Declan, Rupert and Taggie. We cannot wait to see what the final six episodes bring and get back to Rutshire.

Rivals Season 2 returns to Disney+ on 11 November with a three-episode premiere.
