Saturday Night Live UK has announced Jamie Demetriou and Amelia Dimoldenberg as the hosts of its next two episodes, with Royal Blood and Rachel Chinouriri joining as musical guests.
The second series begins on 12 September with Jeff Goldblum hosting alongside CMAT, before Demetriou takes over hosting duties the following week on 19 September. Dimoldenberg will then front the third episode on 26 September.
Jamie Demetriou and Royal Blood Join SNL UK
Quadruple BAFTA-winning comedy writer and actor Jamie Demetriou will host the 19 September episode of Saturday Night Live UK, with British rock duo Royal Blood appearing as musical guests. Demetriou is best known for creating and starring in Stath Lets Flats, as well as his recent work in The Moment. His appearance will mark his first time hosting the UK version of the long-running live comedy format.
Royal Blood will provide the episode’s live music performance, continuing SNL UK‘s format of pairing a new celebrity host with a different musical guest each week.
Amelia Dimoldenberg and Rachel Chinouriri Confirmed for 26 September
One week later, Chicken Shop Date creator Amelia Dimoldenberg will host the 26 September episode. The award-winning presenter, writer and producer will be joined by Rachel Chinouriri, who has become one of the most prominent names in British indie pop in recent years.
Each episode of SNL UK is broadcast live and features topical sketches, musical performances and a British version of the show’s long-running Weekend Update segment.

Returning cast members for the new series include Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young. They will be joined by new cast member Freddie Meredith for Series 2.
