Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 officially has a release date, with Michael C. Hall returning as Dexter Morgan on 30 October on Paramount+. The announcement comes alongside a new teaser, giving fans their first proper look at Dexter ahead of the next chapter.

When Is Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Released?

Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 premieres on 30 October on Paramount+. Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter Morgan, with Jack Alcott back as Harrison as the father and son continue down their complicated paths.

The new season will put Dexter between two killers. One is described as having decades of notoriety behind him, while the other is a younger killer terrorising New York in a way the city has not seen before. At the same time, Dexter is dealing with an enemy he is far less used to confronting: a mid-life crisis.

Who Are the New Killers in Season 2?

Brian Cox joins Season 2 as the New York Ripper, the killer with decades of notoriety who was referenced during the first season. Dan Stevens will also appear as the Five Borough Killer, a murderer who taunts police with phone calls before carrying out his threats, while Gabriel Luna joins as the Sleepy-Eyed Strangler.

It has not been confirmed whether Stevens or Luna is the younger killer referenced in the new synopsis, so there are still some details being kept under wraps ahead of the October return.

Who Is Returning for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2?

Alongside Michael C. Hall and Jack Alcott, Season 2 will bring back Uma Thurman, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf and Dominic Fumusa. Desmond Harrington, James Remar and Krysten Ritter are also returning, while Bokeem Woodbine and Nona Parker Johnson join the new cast.

The growing line-up gives Dexter plenty to deal with when the series returns, especially with several killers now circling New York and Harrison continuing his own pursuit of justice.

Is There a Trailer for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2?

Yes. The short trailer sees Dexter having an eye test and trying on a new pair of glasses before the words “He’s Back” and “He’s Sharper Than Ever” appear on screen. Dexter is then shown handling his knives, giving us a quick glimpse of what is ahead when the new season begins.
