What Happens in The Blame Episode 3?

Following the events of Episode 2, a key suspect is exonerated, but Emma remains convinced that a serial predator could be operating within Wakestead Police Station.

Her suspicions put even more pressure on an investigation that has already exposed serious problems inside the force. Emma’s determination to find out what happened to Sophie has repeatedly brought her into conflict with the people around her, and Episode 3 pushes those concerns about the police station further.

When Is The Blame Episode 4 on ITV?

Episode 4 follows at 9pm on Monday, 28 September on ITV1 and STV. Emma discovers a potential lead to Sophie’s killer when a connection to another victim is uncovered.

What Is The Blame About?

Based on Charlotte Langley’s novel, The Blame follows DI Emma Crane (Michelle Keegan) and DI Tom Radley (Douglas Booth) as they investigate Sophie Madsen’s murder in the fictional town of Wakestead. What begins as the hunt for a teenage girl’s killer soon exposes lies, police misconduct and questions about how much Emma can trust the people working alongside her.

Keegan and Booth lead the cast alongside Ian Hart as DCI Kenneth Walker, Nathan Mensah as DC Lewis Brimah, Josh Bolt as DC Douglas James, Gavin Spokes as DC Joel Stevens and Ceallach Spellman as PC Callum Drummond.

For CultureCues, we have loved the first two episodes of The Blame and cannot wait to see where Episodes 3 and 4 take the investigation next. Emma is already starting to question the people around her, and the possibility that someone inside Wakestead Police Station could be involved makes things even more tense going into tonight’s episode. With Episode 4 following tomorrow and all six episodes already sitting on ITVX, resisting the urge to binge the rest is becoming increasingly difficult.
