Disney+ has released the new trailer for the return of Rivals Season 2, giving fans a first look at the final six episodes ahead of the series coming back on 11 November. Episodes 7 to 12 pick up after the mid-season finale, with Tony Baddingham and Declan O’Hara’s battle for control of the Cotswolds getting even more intense, Rupert Campbell-Black facing his own personal struggles and Taggie O’Hara caught in the middle of the ongoing franchise war.

What Happens in Rivals Season 2 Episodes 7–12?

The second half of the season will take viewers back to Rutshire for more romance, rivalry and fallout as the characters deal with the consequences of everything that has happened so far. Tony and Declan’s feud continues to escalate, while Rupert is forced to confront his own demons. Taggie must decide whether she is finally ready to follow her heart, with affairs unravelling, alliances breaking down and secrets becoming harder to keep hidden.

The new episodes will also take in Bonfire Night, the Hampshire Hunt Ball and Christmas, giving the remaining half of the season plenty of big events for the drama to unfold around.

Who Is Returning for Rivals Season 2?

David Tennant returns as Lord Tony Baddingham, with Alex Hassell as Rupert Campbell-Black, Aidan Turner as Declan O’Hara, Nafessa Williams as Cameron Cook and Bella Maclean as Taggie O’Hara.

The returning cast also includes Katherine Parkinson, Danny Dyer, Victoria Smurfit, Claire Rushbrook, Oliver Chris, Lisa McGrillis, Emily Atack, Rufus Jones, Luca Pasqualino, Catriona Chandler, Annabel Scholey, Gary Lamont, Hubert Burton, Gabriel Tierney, Lara Peake and Bryony Hannah.

New additions include Rachael Stirling as Araminta Pemberton, Rupert Evans as headmaster David Hawkley and Santiago Cabrera as polo legend Alejandro Mendoza, while Hayley Atwell and Rupert Everett also return as Helen and Malise Gordon.

When Does Rivals Season 2 Return?

Rivals returns on Wednesday, 11 November with a three-episode premiere on Disney+ in the UK and internationally, and Hulu in the US. All of Season 1 and the first six episodes of Season 2 are available to stream now, while Disney+ has also already confirmed a third season with 12 new episodes.

For CultureCues, November cannot come quickly enough. We have loved Rivals from the start, and the new trailer has made us even more excited for the second half of Season 2. There is still so much unresolved between these characters, especially Rupert and Taggie, and it looks like Rutshire is heading for plenty more drama before the season is over. We are very ready to get back into it and see where everyone ends up.
