Marvel’s VisionQuest is now streaming on Disney+, with the first two episodes of the new eight-part series arriving in the UK on Wednesday 14 October. Paul Bettany returns as Vision, who has been living in hiding after escaping those who wanted to use him as a weapon. Now trying to understand who he is and what he wants to become, Vision is also dealing with the different AI personalities still embedded within his programming, including a particularly unwelcome return from James Spader’s Ultron.

His attempt to keep a low profile does not last. A bounty is placed on Vision’s head and he ends up on the run alongside Thomas Shepard, played by Scottish actor Ruaridh Mollica, a mysterious teenager who may be connected to his son. The series also brings back several pieces of Tony Stark’s AI legacy, with James D’Arcy appearing as J.A.R.V.I.S., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y. and Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H.

VisionQuest also serves as the final chapter in the trilogy that began with WandaVision in 2021 and continued with Agatha All Along in 2024.

When Are New Episodes of VisionQuest Released?

Disney+ is releasing the eight episodes across five weeks. The first six episodes arrive in pairs before the series switches to single weekly episodes for its final two instalments.

14 October 2026: Episodes 1 and 2
21 October 2026: Episodes 3 and 4
28 October 2026: Episodes 5 and 6
4 November 2026: Episode 7
11 November 2026: Episode 8, finale

That means viewers will get most of the series fairly quickly, with only the final two episodes moving to the usual one-a-week release.

Who Is in the VisionQuest Cast?

Alongside Bettany, Spader and Mollica, the cast includes Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer.

Terry Matalas created the series for television and serves as showrunner, with Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro and Vincenzo Natali among the directors. WandaVision and Agatha All Along creator Jac Schaeffer is also an executive producer.

For CultureCues, we have been waiting to find out what happened to White Vision ever since he disappeared at the end of WandaVision, so we are happy to finally be getting that answer. James Spader returning as Ultron is a brilliant choice, especially with him now existing inside Vision’s head, and the mystery around Thomas Shepard gives the series another big question to unravel. We also like that Disney+ is giving us two episodes at a time for most of the run, because waiting a full week between every episode would have been painful.

VisionQuest is streaming now on Disney+, with new episodes released every Wednesday until the finale on 11 November 2026.
