Crystal Lake is officially here. All eight episodes of A24’s new Friday the 13th prequel series are available to watch in the UK and Ireland from today, Monday 19 October, exclusively on Sky and NOW. Created by Brad Caleb Kane, the series takes us back to Crystal Lake long before the story most horror fans know. Linda Cardellini stars as Pam Voorhees, a grieving mother still struggling with the death of her young son Jason, who drowned in the lake almost a year earlier. When two strangers arrive looking into Pam’s past, it sets off a chain of events that begins uncovering some of the secrets hiding around Crystal Lake.

Alongside Cardellini, the eight-part series stars William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom. Kane serves as creator, writer, executive producer and showrunner, with original Friday the 13th writer Victor Miller also involved as an executive producer.
Rather than releasing the series weekly, Sky has dropped the full season at once, so all eight episodes can be streamed from today. For horror fans, slasher fans and anyone who loves Friday the 13th, that means there is nothing stopping you from binging the whole thing in one go.

CultureCues got an early look at Crystal Lake last week at a special London screening of the first two episodes, followed by a Q&A with Linda Cardellini and Brad Caleb Kane. Those first two episodes were AMAZING, and having now watched the full season, we can safely say there is some seriously good slasher TV here. Cardellini is phenomenal as Pam, and whoever decided to cast her in this role needs a raise immediately because she is perfect. We have a lot to talk about with this one, so our full season review will be on CultureCues very soon.
All eight episodes of Crystal Lake are available now on Sky and NOW in the UK and Ireland.
