Big Brother 2026 has had its first eviction, with Millie Jarrett becoming the first housemate to leave following the public vote. The 19-year-old bartender from Paisley faced eviction alongside Rochelle and Pauline after all three were nominated by secret Mole Tays and his Deputy Mole Philip as part of the opening House of Chaos twist. During Friday night’s live show, AJ Odudu and Will Best revealed that Millie had received the most votes to evict.

Millie looked stunned by the result, as did several of her fellow housemates, before leaving to a warm reception from the crowd. Speaking to AJ and Will afterwards, she admitted she was “shocked” to be first out but said she had made “friends for life” during her short time in the house, adding: “A win is a win.”

Why Were Millie, Rochelle and Pauline Up for Eviction?

Unlike a normal round of nominations, Millie, Rochelle and Pauline were selected by Tays and Philip as part of the House of Chaos storyline. The three nominated housemates were given the chance to save themselves by identifying the Mole and his deputy, but their guess was wrong, leaving all three facing the public vote.

This year viewers are voting for the housemate they want to evict rather than voting to save, with Millie receiving the highest number of votes in the first eviction.

Did Tays Leave Big Brother Too?

Yes, although Tays was not evicted. Earlier in the episode, his identity as the secret Mole was finally revealed to the rest of the house, along with Philip’s role as Deputy Mole. With the House of Chaos twist complete, Tays then left the house, bringing his temporary stay to an end. His departure closed the first major twist of the series, but Big Brother wasted little time setting up the next one.

AJ and Will announced that Jedward will enter the house for a guest stint as part of the new House of Double Trouble. The pair previously competed on Celebrity Big Brother in 2011 and returned for the all-stars series in 2017, and they will now be heading back inside for a few nights.

For CultureCues, Millie being the first housemate out was definitely a surprise, especially after such a short first week in the house. As our Scottish housemate, we were rooting for her to stick around a little longer, but she got a brilliant reception from the crowd on the way out, so we suppose that softened the blow a little. With Tays’ Mole mission now over and Jedward heading in next, Big Brother is already moving straight onto its next twist. The house may have lost its Mole, but there is clearly still plenty of trouble coming.
