Warning: Major spoilers for The Celebrity Traitors Episode 4 follow.

The Celebrity Traitors returned on Friday night with another tense episode, picking up after James Blunt, Bella Ramsey and Bash were left at risk of murder. With Hannah Fry now a Traitor alongside Maya Jama and James Acaster, the group had another big decision to make before breakfast. The celebrities started arriving and it was revealed who had not made it through the night. James Blunt and Bash both walked in, which left only one name missing…Bella Ramsey had been murdered.

Bella had been one of the strongest Faithfuls in the game and had already started thinking about resetting their approach after wrongly suspecting Myha’la. When they learned they had been murdered, Bella said they thought it was a clever move from the Traitors and admitted they might have worked things out if they had stayed longer. We were gutted to see them go, especially because Bella had become one of our favourites in the castle.

Who Was Banished in The Celebrity Traitors Episode 4?

After Bella’s murder, attention turned back to the Round Table, where suspicion started moving around the group again. Hannah did come under some scrutiny, with Miranda Hart among those thinking she may have been recruited, but the vote eventually moved in another direction.

Julie Hesmondhalgh received the majority of the votes and was banished from the castle. Her exit was another blow for the Faithful because Julie revealed that she had been loyal all along.

She left with a joke, saying: “Alas, it may mean that I am not a phenomenal actor; I am indeed a Faithful.”

Joanne McNally’s suspicions played a big part in the vote against Julie, and once the result was revealed, it left the Faithful with another wrong banishment to deal with after getting Richard E Grant right at the first Round Table. Hannah, meanwhile, had managed to survive another night.

Who Is at Risk of Murder After Episode 4?

The episode ended with another twist, as Claudia Winkleman told the Traitors to choose four players for a deadly game of hide-and-seek in the castle crypt. Maya, James and Hannah chose Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Ross Kemp. Before they were sent out, the four were allowed to choose one person to receive a special key that would protect them from being murdered face-to-face, and they gave it to Leigh-Anne.

That means Romesh, Rob and Ross are all still at risk, with one of them facing a possible face-to-face murder when the series returns. The episode ended before the Traitors made their final choice, so we will have to wait until Thursday to find out who survives.

For CultureCues, we were genuinely gutted to lose Bella because they were one of our favourites and had started to rethink the game after getting Myha’la wrong. Julie going straight afterwards was another bad result for the Faithful, but Hannah still having a few eyes on her could become important. And now we have Romesh, Rob and Ross all sitting in danger. We do not want to lose any of them.

The Celebrity Traitors returns on Thursday at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
