Season 3 became the most-watched season of Yellowjackets so far, and its finale left the wilderness timeline closer than ever to the rescue we have known was coming since the series began. Now, the final season will deal with what happens as that moment approaches and the consequences still following the survivors decades later.
When Is Yellowjackets Season 4 Released?
Yellowjackets Season 4 premieres on Friday, 20 November 2026 on Paramount+. The series is available through Paramount+ in the UK, with the first three seasons currently available to stream. Season 4 will be the final chapter of the story. Paramount+ has not yet confirmed the full episode release schedule, so it remains to be seen exactly when the series finale will arrive.
What Is Yellowjackets Season 4 About?
The official synopsis for the final season reads: “The survivors race to bury their sins before rescue arrives and an old flame roars back into town with plans of her own. Turns out not every homecoming is a joyous one, and this one’s going to sting.” That mention of rescue is particularly important after the Season 3 finale, which brought the younger Yellowjackets closer to finally making contact with the outside world.

Natalie successfully made contact with civilisation at the end of Season 3, setting up the rescue that has hung over the wilderness storyline since the beginning. Co-creator Ashley Lyle previously explained that Natalie was always intended to play a major role in getting the group home, connecting back to the early revelation that the others would not have survived without her.
Of course, we already know that being rescued does not mean the horrors of the wilderness are over. The present-day storyline has spent three seasons showing just how deeply what happened continues to follow Shauna, Taissa, Misty and the other survivors.
Who Is Returning for Yellowjackets Season 4?
Melanie Lynskey returns as adult Shauna, alongside Christina Ricci as Misty and Tawny Cypress as Taissa. Sophie Nélisse as young Shauna, Jasmin Savoy Brown as young Taissa, Sophie Thatcher as Natalie, Samantha Hanratty as Misty, Courtney Eaton as Lottie, Liv Hewson as Van and Kevin Alves as Travis.
Warren Kole, Sarah Desjardins, Nia Sondaya and Jenna Burgess are also returning, with Hilary Swank back following her arrival as adult Melissa in Season 3. There are some big new additions too. Molly Ringwald will appear as Van’s mother, Vicky, with June Squibb joining the final season in a currently undisclosed role.
