Strictly Come Dancing 2026 has said goodbye to its fifth celebrity, with Emmerdale actor Lawrence Robb and professional partner Jowita Przystał eliminated during Sunday night’s Halloween Week results show on 1 November. The pair faced Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu, alongside Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu, in the BBC competition’s first-ever triple dance-off, before the judges decided that Lawrence and Jowita’s time in the ballroom had come to an end.

Halloween Week brought an unusual twist to the competition, with three couples having to perform their routines again instead of the usual two. The judges were tasked with choosing which couple to eliminate, putting additional pressure on those who found themselves in the bottom three after the public votes were combined with Saturday night’s scores.
What Happened in Strictly’s Halloween Week Dance-Off?
Lawrence and Jowita returned to the dancefloor with their Tango to Ray Parker Jr’s “Ghostbusters”, having scored 26 points during Saturday’s Halloween special. The routine had received some encouraging comments from the judges, with Shirley Ballas praising Lawrence’s improvement, but the pair faced tough competition from two couples who had finished above them on the leaderboard.
Bethany and Nancy performed their Jive to Fifth Harmony’s “I’m in Love with a Monster”, while Jaime and Carlos returned with their Salsa to Scissor Sisters’ “Filthy/Gorgeous”. Following all three performances, Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke voted to eliminate Lawrence and Jowita, with Motsi Mabuse confirming she would have made the same decision.

The result brought Lawrence’s Strictly journey to an end after six weeks in the competition, leaving Bethany and Jaime to continue for another week. However, it was a happier result for Tabby Stoecker and Graeme Hall, who both avoided the dance-off despite finishing joint bottom of Saturday’s leaderboard with 25 points each.
Strictly Come Dancing 2026 Halloween Week Leaderboard
Saturday’s Halloween special saw EastEnders star Lacey Turner and professional partner Vito Coppola top the leaderboard with an impressive 36 points for their Charleston to Cheryl and Tinie Tempah’s “Crazy Stupid Love”. John Nellis and Katya Jones followed closely behind with 35 points, while Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby shared third place with Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington on 33 points.
The full Halloween Week leaderboard was:
Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola – 36 points
John Nellis and Katya Jones – 35 points
Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby – 33 points
Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington – 33 points
Will Best and Dianne Buswell – 32 points
Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin – 32 points
Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu – 30 points
Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu – 27 points
Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystał – 26 points
Tabby Stoecker and Mark Karmalita – 25 points
Graeme Hall and Lauren Oakley – 25 points
The results show also featured a musical performance from Becky Hill and a Halloween-themed professional dance to Tame Impala’s “Dracula”, complete with a surprise vocal appearance from Sir Ian McKellen.
The judges also got into the Halloween spirit with some brilliant fancy dress costumes, adding to the spooky celebrations in the ballroom. As always, Halloween Week wouldn’t be quite the same without the judges joining in on the fun!

For CultureCues, Halloween Week is always one of our favourite parts of Strictly, with the costumes, music and wonderfully over-the-top routines making it such a fun weekend in the ballroom. We actually thought Lawrence and Jowita gave a really good performance, so we’re sad to see them go. Although, we might be a little biased with Lawrence being a fellow Scot, and my mum being a big fan of his in Emmerdale! But in all seriousness, this week’s results show just how important the public vote is, with two of the three couples in the dance-off having scored higher than other contestants on the judges’ leaderboard. It’s a good reminder that even a decent score doesn’t guarantee your favourite is safe, so make sure you’re getting those votes in! We’re looking forward to seeing what the remaining couples bring to the ballroom next week.
Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday 7 November at 6.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
