The Jury: 14 and on Trial for Murder has now aired its first two episodes on Channel 4, but viewers waiting for the next part of the case will have a little longer to wait. Episode 3 does not air tonight, with the series taking a week-long break.

Episode 3 of The Jury: 14 and on Trial for Murder airs on Wednesday, 9 September on Channel 4. The series then continues straight into its finale on Thursday, 10 September.

What Is The Jury: 14 and on Trial for Murder About?

The new series centres on the trial of two brothers accused of killing their stepfather, with one of the defendants just 14 years old. The brothers admit causing his death, leaving the jury to consider the circumstances surrounding what happened and decide how they view the case.

As with previous series of The Jury, the programme recreates a real murder trial and allows ordinary members of the public to hear the evidence before reaching their verdict. Much of the series focuses not only on the case itself but on how individual jurors interpret the same evidence, where they disagree and how their opinions change as the trial continues.

For CultureCues, we are very invested after the first two episodes and definitely need to see how the final part of the case plays out. It is a difficult trial to watch at points, especially given the age of one of the defendants, but seeing how differently the jurors respond to the same evidence has been fascinating. We cannot wait to see what happens when the series returns next week and how the jury ultimately reaches its decision.
