Paramount+ has released the official teaser for The Jigsaw Puzzle Murder, a new two-part British true crime documentary examining the 2024 murder of Stuart Everett in Greater Manchester. The series will premiere on Thursday 12 November 2026, exploring the investigation that led detectives to identify his killer, Marcin Majerkiewicz, and the disturbing discoveries made throughout the case. Both episodes will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ from launch.
The investigation began in April 2024, when Greater Manchester Police were called to woodland on the outskirts of Salford following the discovery of a human torso wrapped in cellophane. As officers worked to establish the victim’s identity and piece together what had happened, further human remains were discovered at locations across Greater Manchester, turning the case into an extensive and complicated murder investigation.
One of the most troubling details emerged when detectives discovered that messages had continued to be sent from Stuart’s phone after his death, including communications with friends, family members and his bank. Digital evidence and forensic analysis eventually directed investigators towards those closest to him, including his housemate Marcin Majerkiewicz, as officers attempted to establish the circumstances surrounding Stuart’s murder.
The investigation also brought a third housemate, Michal Polchowski, under suspicion. He was arrested after CCTV footage and phone evidence placed him at the property around the time of the killing, raising questions about whether more than one person had been involved. Polchowski was ultimately cleared of any involvement, and the documentary will feature him speaking publicly about his experience for the first time.

As the investigation continued, a discovery at a local reservoir provided detectives with vital evidence, with the case eventually proceeding to the murder trial of Marcin Majerkiewicz. The documentary follows the police investigation through to its conclusion, examining how officers gathered the evidence needed to secure justice for Stuart and his family.
Produced by Minnow Films, The Jigsaw Puzzle Murder is executive produced by Claire Goodlass and Sophie Jones. The two-part series will examine the forensic work, digital evidence and investigative decisions that helped detectives uncover what happened.

For CultureCues, this is an incredibly distressing case, and one where the details of the investigation are difficult to comprehend. The discovery of Stuart’s remains was horrific enough, but learning that messages were still being sent from his phone after his death adds another troubling detail to the case. We hope the documentary gives viewers a better understanding of the extensive investigation that led to his killer being brought to justice, whilst keeping Stuart and the impact of his death on those who loved him at the centre of the story.
Both episodes of The Jigsaw Puzzle Murder premiere on Paramount+ on Thursday 12 November 2026.
