Briefcase wankers, assemble. The Inbetweeners is officially heading back to our screens, with production beginning today in the UK on The Inbetweeners 3 for Netflix. Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas are all returning as Will McKenzie, Jay Cartwright, Neil Sutherland and Simon Cooper, bringing the four friends back together more than a decade after The Inbetweeners 2. Series creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris are also returning to write and direct the new film.

When Did The Inbetweeners Originally End?

The Inbetweeners originally aired on Channel 4 between 2008 and 2010, following Will after he transferred to Rudge Park Comprehensive and became friends with Simon, Neil and Jay. The series ran for three seasons before moving into cinemas. The Inbetweeners Movie became a huge UK box-office success in 2011, followed by The Inbetweeners 2 in 2014. The new Netflix film therefore arrives around 12 years after we last saw the four friends together on screen.
