The Game Season 2 has now aired its first two episodes on Channel 5, but viewers will have to wait until next week for the thriller to continue. The four-part series returned this week with Jason Watkins back as former detective Huw Miller and Robson Green as serial killer Patrick Harbottle. Episodes 1 and 2 aired across Tuesday and Wednesday, but the remaining two episodes will now pick up the story next week.

Episode 3 of The Game Season 2 airs on Tuesday, 8 September at 9pm on Channel 5. The finale then follows the next night, meaning viewers will get the final two episodes across consecutive evenings.

What Is The Game Season 2 About?
Season 2 picks up a year after Huw survived a brutal stabbing and believed he had finally escaped Patrick’s psychological hold over him. Patrick is now in prison, but that has not stopped him from finding a new way to get inside Huw’s life.
Channel 5 says Patrick begins another game from behind bars, one that reaches into Huw’s family and begins testing his judgement. As the pressure builds, Huw is pushed towards an impossible decision, with stopping Patrick potentially coming at a serious personal cost.
Jason Watkins returns as Huw Miller, with Robson Green back as Patrick Harbottle. The first season was one of Channel 5’s strongest-performing dramas of last year, and Season 2 continues the cat-and-mouse battle between the pair with Patrick still finding ways to control events despite being behind bars.
For CultureCues, the first two episodes have definitely pulled us back into Huw and Patrick’s story, and now we need to know where the final part of this game goes. Robson Green remains brilliantly unsettling as Patrick, while Jason Watkins gives Huw plenty to wrestle with as the pressure starts closing in again. With only two episodes left, we are very ready to see how this one ends next week.
