Strictly Come Dancing said goodbye to its third celebrity of the series on Sunday night, following a packed Icons Week that saw the remaining couples take on routines inspired by some of music’s biggest names. Saturday’s show had plenty happening before anyone even stepped onto the dancefloor, with Shirley Ballas arriving as Lady Gaga, Motsi Mabuse transforming into Beyoncé and Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke taking on Liam and Noel Gallagher. Once the competition got underway, Cach Mercer and Jaime Winstone came out on top, both finishing the night with 34 points.
Cach and Maddie Ingoldsby performed a Foxtrot inspired by Frank Sinatra, while Jaime and Carlos Gu took on a David Bowie-themed Paso Doble. Will Best and Dianne Buswell followed with 31 points for their Jive, with Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystał next on 30.

Who Left Strictly Come Dancing During Icons Week?
Dame Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon became the third couple to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2026 after finding themselves in the dance-off against Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu.

Sarah had finished at the bottom of Saturday night’s leaderboard with 21 points for her Tango to Shania Twain’s “That Don’t Impress Me Much”, while Bethany and Nancy had scored 27 for their Cha Cha to Aretha Franklin’s “Respect”. After the public vote, both couples had to perform their routines again for the judges.
The decision was unanimous. Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse all chose to save Bethany and Nancy, sending Sarah and Julian home. Head Judge Shirley Ballas confirmed that she would also have saved Bethany and Nancy had her vote been needed.
Sarah becomes the third celebrity eliminated from the series, following Chris Appleton and Melanie Walters.
Why Didn’t Delta Goodrem Dance During Icons Week?
Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington were missing from this week’s competition after Delta suffered a rib injury. The BBC confirmed before Saturday’s show that she had been advised by doctors to rest and would receive a bye through to next week under the competition rules. Delta said she was “absolutely gutted” to miss Icons Week and would focus on resting and recovering, with the hope of returning to the dancefloor next weekend.

Sunday’s results show also included a professional routine celebrating different eras of Madonna, while Belles performed “Jolene” as Amy Dowden and Kai Widdrington danced alongside them.
For CultureCues, we were sad to see Sarah go, although after finishing at the bottom of Saturday’s leaderboard it always felt like she could be in trouble once the public vote came in. Bethany and Nancy did enough in the dance-off to keep their place, and with another couple now gone, the competition is starting to get tighter. Hopefully Delta will be feeling well enough to return next week too.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday 24 October at 6:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
