Prime Video has officially renewed Sterling Point for Season 2 following the success of its first season. The coming-of-age drama debuted on 5 August 2026 and quickly became a No. 1 global debut for the streamer, with audiences now set to return to Muskoka for another chapter.
Created by Megan Park, Sterling Point follows Annie Jacobson, played by Ella Rubin, whose life changes when she inherits her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada. Season 1 brought new friendships, romances and plenty of family secrets, with the finale leaving several storylines wide open for Season 2.
Has Sterling Point Been Renewed for Season 2?
Yes. Prime Video has officially renewed Sterling Point for a second season. Creator, director and executive producer Megan Park said it had been “an absolute joy” to see viewers respond to the series, adding that the team cannot wait to go deeper into the characters in Season 2. Co-showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage also confirmed that the team will be heading back to Muskoka, teasing more to come for Annie, Ramona and the rest of the group.
What Could Happen in Sterling Point Season 2?
Season 1 left plenty for the series to pick up when it returns. Annie and Ramona discovered more about their complicated family history and their connection through Goldie, strengthening their sisterly bond as they learned more about where they came from. Ramona also uncovered the identity of her biological father, and the finale saw the sisters effectively switch places as their lives continued to change.
There is plenty unresolved romantically too. Annie found herself caught between Ellis and Rory, and Ramona and Oona attempted to explore their own relationship before running into problems. Those storylines give Season 2 plenty to continue, particularly as the characters deal with everything they discovered about themselves and their families during their first summer at Sterling Point.
Who Is in the Sterling Point Cast?
Season 1 stars Ella Rubin as Annie and Amélie Hoeferle as Ramona, alongside Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie as Ellis, Daniel Quinn-Toye as Rory, Bo Bragason as Oona and Keen Ruffalo as Connor.
The wider cast includes Jay Duplass as Steven, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Joe, Nikko Angelo Hinayo as Sully, Mabel Strachan as Maple, Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers as Kate and Missi Pyle as Denise Ballatine.
Prime Video has not yet announced the full returning cast for Season 2.
When Will Sterling Point Season 2 Be Released?
Prime Video has not yet confirmed a release date for Sterling Point Season 2. The streamer has confirmed that the new season will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide, with further details expected as production moves forward.
For CultureCues, this is very good news. We absolutely loved Sterling Point Season 1 and were already hoping Prime Video would send us back to Muskoka for another summer. We cannot wait to see more of Annie and Ellis, especially now Annie has decided to stay at Sterling Point and there is room for that relationship to develop. And please, we need Ramona and Oona to sort things out because we loved them together. After everything the finale revealed, there is still so much we want from these characters, so we are very happy Season 2 is officially happening.
