Sir Rod Stewart has announced his final tour, bringing more than six decades on the road to a close with The Final Encore in 2027. The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee will begin the UK and European run at Dublin’s 3Arena on 23 April before heading to Belfast, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London. The tour will then continue across Europe before finishing at Hannover’s ZAG Arena on 24 July. Howard Jones will support Stewart across the UK and Ireland dates.

Confirming that The Final Encore will be his last tour, Stewart said: “My dear friends, the time has come to say farewell to life on the road. After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last.” He added that he had been performing the music he loves since he was 19 and thanked fans for making his career possible, promising to say goodbye “with the music and one hell of a show”.

The tour will celebrate Stewart’s catalogue across more than 60 years, with songs expected to include “Maggie May”, “You Wear It Well”, “Tonight’s the Night (Gonna Be Alright)”, “Hot Legs”, “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?”, “Young Turks”, “Baby Jane”, “Sailing”, “The First Cut Is the Deepest” and “Have I Told You Lately”.

When Do Rod Stewart 2027 Tickets Go on Sale?

Tickets for The Final Encore will go on general sale from Friday, 2 October, with timings varying by market. A fan club presale begins on Tuesday, 29 September, followed by additional local presales. Mastercard cardholders will also have access to preferred tickets in selected markets from 10am local time on Friday, 2 October.

Rod Stewart Brings Six Decades of Touring to a Close

Stewart’s career has stretched from his time with the Jeff Beck Group and Faces in the late 1960s through to more than five decades as a solo artist. He has sold an estimated 250 million records and singles worldwide, scored 31 UK Top 10 singles and 11 UK number one albums, and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame both as a solo artist and as a member of Faces. His live career has included an estimated 20 million concertgoers around the world, a 200-show Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and a huge Copacabana Beach performance in Rio de Janeiro attended by an estimated 3.5 million people.

For CultureCues, it is hard to imagine Rod Stewart not being out on the road somewhere, so The Final Encore really does feel like the end of an era. After more than six decades of touring, these shows should be a huge celebration of a catalogue packed with songs people have grown up with, and having Howard Jones along for the UK dates makes that run even better. Glasgow getting an OVO Hydro date is especially welcome for us, and we suspect “Sailing” is going to hit a little differently when that final tour comes around.
