Ozzfest is officially returning in 2027! The legendary rock and metal festival, founded by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, will make its long-awaited comeback at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes on Saturday 10 July 2027. The announcement marks the festival’s first edition since Ozzy Osbourne’s death in July 2025, with Sharon set to curate the line-up in celebration of his musical legacy.
Originally launched in 1996, Ozzfest became one of the world’s biggest touring rock and metal festivals, bringing together some of the genre’s most famous names. The festival previously visited The National Bowl in 1998 and 2001, making next summer’s return especially fitting as it celebrates 30 years since its original launch.
The 2027 event was originally planned for Villa Park in Birmingham, the venue that hosted Ozzy’s historic Back to the Beginning farewell concert in July 2025. However, ongoing construction work at the stadium has meant organisers have had to relocate the festival to Milton Keynes.
Speaking about the return, Sharon Osbourne said: “Ozzy was the first to launch his own traveling metal festival, and Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy’s legacy.” She also explained the venue change, saying: “Unfortunately, due to continuing construction, Villa Park won’t be ready for any live shows this summer, so we had to relocate to Milton Keynes. The choice was to move Ozzfest or postpone it for another year.”
The festival won’t be limited to the UK either, with two additional dates confirmed for September 2027. Ozzfest will return to Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California, where the festival first launched in 1996, before making its Mexico City debut.

The confirmed Ozzfest 2027 dates are:
Saturday 10 July 2027 – The National Bowl, Milton Keynes, UK
Saturday 11 September 2027 – Glen Helen Amphitheater, San Bernardino, USA
Saturday 18 September 2027 – Estadio GNP Seguros, Mexico City, Mexico
The full line-up has yet to be announced, although Sharon Osbourne will oversee the selection of artists alongside Download Festival organiser Andy Copping, who previously worked with her on Back to the Beginning. Copping said: “It was a huge honour to work with Sharon on Back to the Beginning, so I’m thrilled to be working with her again on Ozzfest and bringing it back to the UK, back to the National Bowl where it all got started. We’re so excited about the lineup we’re putting together, and can’t wait to share it with the fans.”
Early Bat tickets for Ozzfest 2027 will go on sale on Friday 6 November at 10am GMT, with UK fans able to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster. Further ticket information and artist announcements are expected in the coming months.
For CultureCues, it’s great to see Ozzfest making a comeback, especially with Sharon Osbourne continuing something that meant so much to Ozzy. After the incredible farewell concert at Villa Park last year, bringing the festival back to the UK is a brilliant way to celebrate his legacy and the music he loved. We’re looking forward to seeing which bands make the line-up, and we’re sure there’ll be plenty of fans excited to get their tickets. Ozzfest is back, and it’s ready to rock!
