Hockey romance fans, it’s almost time for another trip to Briar University! Following the huge success of its first season, Off Campus is returning to Prime Video in April 2027, bringing plenty more romance, friendship and drama along with it. However, this time there’s a new couple taking centre stage, with Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis leading the second season.
Based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off Campus novels, the series follows the lives of an elite college ice hockey team and the women around them as they navigate relationships, university life and everything that comes with growing up. The first season, which premiered in May 2026, focused on the romance between Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) and hockey player Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli), quickly becoming one of Prime Video’s biggest successes.
In fact, the series attracted an impressive 36 million viewers worldwide within its first 12 days, making it the third most-watched debut season in Prime Video history at the time. It also became the streamer’s most-watched debut season ever among women aged 18 to 34, so it’s hardly surprising that fans are already eager to see what happens next.
What Will Off Campus Season 2 Be About?
The second season will focus on Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) and Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn), whose developing relationship became an important part of the first season. With Hannah and Garrett’s romance taking a back seat, Allie and Dean will now have their own story to tell, and judging by what we’ve already seen, there’s plenty of drama, romance and steamy moments ahead.
Their relationship comes from The Score, the third book in Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus series. In the novel, Allie is dealing with the end of a long-term relationship and uncertainty about her future when she finds herself getting involved with Dean, a confident hockey player who isn’t exactly known for settling down.
Season one has already given us a taste of Allie and Dean’s complicated relationship, with their casual arrangement starting to develop into something more. With their romance becoming the main focus of season two, there’s plenty still to explore, especially as Dean begins to realise just how much Allie means to him. The television adaptation has already made some changes to the books, so it’ll be interesting to see which parts of their story make it to the screen.
The decision to focus on Allie and Dean also means the series is moving ahead to the third book rather than following the novels in order. The second book, The Mistake, tells the story of John Logan and Grace Ivers, who will also feature in the upcoming season.
Will Hannah and Garrett Return for Season 2?
Yes! Fans of Hannah and Garrett can relax, because both Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli are returning for season two. Although their relationship won’t be the main focus this time, the couple will still have a role in the series as the story continues to follow the wider group at Briar University. Creator Louisa Levy has previously confirmed that their relationship will remain part of the show, even as the focus moves to Allie and Dean.
Other returning cast members include Antonio Cipriano as John Logan and Jalen Thomas Brooks as John Tucker, alongside Julia Sarah-Stone as Jules, Khobe Clarke as Beau Maxwell and Miles Gutierrez-Riley as Dexter. Charlie Evans will return as Hunter Davenport, Dean’s old hockey rival, who could make things interesting following the events of the first season.
India Fowler joins the series as a regular, playing Grace Ivers, who is connected to Logan’s storyline in the books. Hamilton star Phillipa Soo will also appear as Scarlett, a theatre artist directing a production at Briar University, while Shay Rudolph joins as Dean’s younger sister, Summer.
One familiar face who won’t be returning is Josh Heuston, who played Justin Kohl, Hannah’s former crush. His character’s storyline came to an end during the first season, and he isn’t included in the new cast.
When Is Off Campus Season 2 Coming to Prime Video?
Prime Video has officially confirmed that Off Campus season two will premiere on Wednesday 28 April 2027, less than a year after the first season arrived. The release date was revealed on Thursday 5 November, with Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn appearing in a special announcement video shared on the show’s social media accounts.
The relatively quick return has been helped by the series receiving an early renewal in February 2026, before the first season had even premiered. With its impressive viewing figures and growing fanbase, there will no doubt be plenty of interest in whether the second season can match the success of the first.
For CultureCues, we’re really looking forward to heading back to Briar University! Allie and Dean were one of our favourite parts of season one, so we’re excited to see how their relationship develops now that they’re getting their own season. We’ve read the books too, so we can’t wait to see Logan and Grace, especially knowing what’s in store for them. And of course, we’re happy Hannah and Garrett will still be around, and hopefully we’ll get some more cute moments between them in season two. April isn’t too far away either, which is good news for those of us who don’t fancy waiting years between seasons. Now, let’s just hope the boys can keep the drama on the ice for once!
Off Campus season two premieres Wednesday 28 April 2027 on Prime Video. The first season is available to stream now.
