Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Supergirl, offering a closer look at Milly Alcock’s take on Kara Zor-El as the DC Universe expands beyond Earth.

Directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira, the film follows Kara after a ruthless adversary strikes close to home, forcing her into an unlikely alliance on an interstellar journey of vengeance and justice. The footage leans into that space-driven story, with Kara moving across multiple planets as the scale stretches from alien bars to sprawling off-world landscapes.

While the trailer delivers plenty of action, it also hints at a more vulnerable edge to this version of Supergirl, particularly as she finds herself away from the conditions that usually give her strength. Alongside Alcock, the cast includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham and Jason Momoa.

For CultureCues, Supergirl already feels like a more adventurous step for the DC Universe, with the trailer pointing towards a story that blends big, fast-moving action with a more vulnerable side to Kara. For fans waiting to see how the new DC era expands beyond Superman, this looks like one to watch.

Supergirl arrives in cinemas on 26 June 2026, watch the trailer below.
