Miley is officially entering a new era. The singer has announced her tenth studio album, Bass Persuades, which will be released on 18 September via Atlantic Records, just over a year after Something Beautiful. The new record also arrives as she begins professionally using simply Miley, dropping Cyrus from her billing and social media.
The announcement follows several days of teasing from Miley, including a cryptic billboard campaign and social posts pointing towards a new chapter. She revealed the album alongside its black-and-white cover, which shows her holding a rose between her teeth, as well as a video of her playing electric guitar.
Explaining the title, Miley said music can be “powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong”, adding that Bass Persuades represents everything from love and heartbreak to the experiences in between. The album contains 10 tracks and includes collaborations with Model/Actriz and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow.
The full Bass Persuades tracklist is:
“Bass Persuades”
“Different Religion” featuring Model/Actriz
“Let’s Get Married”
“Orbit”
“Aftermath”
“REDLIGHTS”
“Neon Signs” featuring Andrew Wyatt
“Innocent Ways”
“Snow”
“Bass Persuades Remixx”
The album follows a particularly busy period for Miley. Since releasing Something Beautiful in 2025, she has expanded the record with new collaborations, recorded “Dream as One” for Avatar: Fire and Ash and celebrated 20 years of Hannah Montana. Her previous album Endless Summer Vacation also gave her one of the biggest hits of her career with “Flowers”.
Miley has also announced two shows at the Hollywood Bowl on 16 and 18 October, marking her first performances at the famous Los Angeles venue. Despite attending plenty of concerts there over the years, she has never previously performed on its stage.
An American Express presale begins on 8 September at 10am PT, followed by an artist presale and Reserved By Spotify presale, with remaining tickets going on general sale on 10 September. More information about purchasing tickets is available on TicketMaster and Miley’s website.
At CultureCues, we are very ready for another Miley era. Something Beautiful only arrived last year, so getting a full new album this quickly is already a nice surprise, and the first look at Bass Persuades feels like another change in direction. We cannot wait to hear the full record. New era, new album, new name. Miley is clearly not slowing down anytime soon, and we are absolutely living for it.
Miley’s tenth studio album, Bass Persuades, will be released on 18 September 2026 via Atlantic Records.
