AMC has released the first teaser for Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches Season 3, giving fans a first look at the show’s 2027 return. The teaser debuted during the penultimate episode of The Vampire Lestat and comes with the warning: “Power will be tested.”
In the new footage, Alexandra Daddario’s Rowan Fielding is seen rising into the air as electricity crackles around her, making it very clear that the Mayfair story is not slowing down. Season 3 will move the drama to Salem, Massachusetts, with AMC confirming that the new episodes will dive further into witchcraft mythology, introduce new “spellbound” families and explore the history connected to Salem’s witch trials and folklore.
Daddario returns as Rowan, with Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa and Alyssa Jirrels also starring. The cast also includes Betsy Brandt, Michiel Huisman, James Frain, Eliza Scanlen and Omar Maskati.
The new season continues AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe, which also includes Interview With The Vampire, now moving into The Vampire Lestat, and The Talamasca: The Secret Order. Mayfair Witches remains the second series in the franchise, following Rowan as she is drawn further into the powerful and dangerous legacy of the Mayfair family. We do love seeing this universe keep expanding, especially when witches, vampires and secret orders are all in play.
Season 3 is executive produced by Mark Johnson, who oversees AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe. Co-showrunners Esta Spalding and Thomas Schnauz executive produce with Michelle Ashford and Tom Williams.
For CultureCues, we were already looking forward to Mayfair Witches Season 3, and this teaser has made us even more excited. Taking the story to Salem feels like a strong move, especially with the show leaning further into witchcraft mythology and the wider Anne Rice universe. We cannot wait to see where Rowan’s story goes next. This teaser is a pretty strong way to say the witches are back… Candles ready!
