Warning: Major spoilers ahead for the Love Is Blind: UK Season 3 reunion.

We need to talk about the Love Is Blind: UK Season 3 reunion, because we genuinely did not see this coming. After weeks of pod drama, arguments, disappearing acts, money conversations and some questionable moments, all four couples who got married are still together almost a year later. Yes, all four.

Sophie and Taylor, Ciara and Ajay, Faye and Jack, and Francesca and Joseph all returned for the reunion still happily married, and we genuinely could not believe it. Very happy for them, obviously, but shocked. There were at least a couple of those weddings where we were watching through our fingers wondering whether saying “I do” was actually a good idea, so finding out that every single marriage has survived beyond the experiment was probably the biggest surprise of the reunion.

Somehow, All Four Marriages Survived

Sophie and Taylor being together was probably the least surprising reveal. They were one of the most settled couples throughout the experiment, and almost a year later they still look completely smitten. After Sophie was made redundant, the couple ended up moving south rather than Taylor relocating to Manchester, and they now live close to his family. They are talking about buying a house in the future and eventually having children, and even Sophie’s dad, who was very vocal about his concerns on their wedding day, is fully won over by Taylor.

Ciara and Ajay were the bigger surprise for us. Their conversations around money and expectations became one of the main issues before the wedding, and at times it really did seem like they wanted different things from married life. But the look back at their year together was cute. They spent six months living in Melbourne before returning to London, are now living together in Ciara’s flat and are planning a huge traditional Indian wedding. Ajay speaking about Ciara as his wife, standing up for her and talking about how much she has brought to his life was especially sweet, and they clearly seem very happy together. It feels different from some of what we saw during the series, so yes, this one surprised us, but we are very happy for them.

Francesca and Joseph are still together too, and this was one we were really happy about because we loved them throughout the series. The only real doubt came from Francesca’s family and whether they would be comfortable giving their blessing, so once Joseph had that conversation with her mum before the wedding, it felt like the final thing they needed. They are now still happily married, regularly spending time with both sides of their families, and are planning to marry again in the Catholic faith as well as have a traditional Nigerian wedding. We are very glad this one worked out.

Faye and Jack Might Have Surprised Us Most

Then we have Faye and Jack, and this was probably the biggest surprise of all. After the Find My Friends situation, Jack disappearing for hours after Faye’s birthday and leaving her unable to contact or locate him, we genuinely wondered whether their relationship could recover. Add his very late arrival on the wedding day and, honestly, we were shocked they both still said “I do”, never mind that they are still married almost a year later.

But the glimpse at their first year of marriage showed a very different side to them. They looked genuinely happy, constantly laughing together and clearly much more relaxed than some of what we saw during the experiment. Faye’s social media since filming has also shown a much more playful, dorky side of her that really matches Jack’s personality, and seeing that makes it much easier to understand why they work so well together. Honestly, we would have loved to see more of that side of their relationship during the series.

They spent part of their first year travelling together, including trips to the Maldives and Thailand, and are now living with Faye’s parents in Guernsey. Faye also spoke about understanding Jack’s ADHD much better now and recognising when he needs some space, while Jack admitted he had work to do after letting her and her family down during the experiment. Even Faye’s parents have forgiven him, which might be the biggest character development of the entire season. We were very surprised, but after seeing them together at the reunion, we are genuinely very happy for them.

What Happened With Ryan and Cuba?

Ryan and Cuba remain separated, and their reunion conversation was much harder to watch. Their relationship ended before the weddings after Cuba became increasingly unhappy with how little time they were spending together outside the pods. Ryan’s work regularly took him away, and even when he was back, Cuba felt she was still not getting the time or reassurance she needed from him. At the reunion, Cuba made it clear that she still felt hurt by the way things ended and said she had never felt so alone in a relationship. Ryan confirmed that he does not want to restart things and is happy being single for now. Cuba, meanwhile, said she is open to love but no longer actively looking for it.

And yes, the mango was mentioned. We could hardly have had a Season 3 reunion without revisiting Ryan quietly preparing fruit while his engagement was essentially falling apart around him.

Yasmin and Jordan Are Still Close

Yasmin and Jordan also remain separated, although their story has had a much happier ending than we might have expected after they left the experiment. Both admitted that their relationship never quite developed the chemistry needed for marriage, with Jordan eventually deciding that he could not confidently walk down the aisle. They have since become very close friends and apparently still speak every day. Yasmin has been travelling, learning to DJ and continuing to study Arabic, while Jordan described her as one of his best friends. They may not have found the marriage they entered the pods looking for, but their friendship seems to have survived the whole thing surprisingly well.

One Surprisingly Happy Reunion

We went into the reunion expecting a lot more drama, but there really was not that much. Even with the two couples who are no longer together, the conversations were more awkward and emotional than hostile. Cuba was clearly still hurt by how things ended with Ryan, but she also said he is a nice person with a kind heart, while Yasmin and Jordan have somehow come out of the experiment as BFF’s.

There were a few tense moments. Ciara became emotional during the discussion around how she was shown on the series and the criticism she received for being demanding or pushing Ajay. The most tension came during the back and forth between Jack, Ciara and Ajay over what had happened earlier in the series, but even that never turned into a huge argument. It was more a case of crossed wires and different versions of events being cleared up than anything explosive. Chevanique also spoke about her connection with Joseph and the disagreement that happened before the wedding, but even that was quickly put to bed, with her saying Francesca and Joseph make a perfect couple. For a reunion we expected to be full of arguments, tea spilling and drama, it was actually mostly just very happy.

It was also lovely to see a few familiar Love Is Blind: UK faces in the audience, including Season 1’s Bobby and Jasmine, who recently welcomed their first baby, and Season 2’s Kieran and Megan, who have since had a second wedding celebration. Seeing some of the couples from previous seasons still happy together was a nice reminder that, for all the drama the experiment creates, it really does work for some people.

For CultureCues, we genuinely cannot believe all four married couples made it. Sophie and Taylor always felt like the safest bet, and Francesca and Joseph seemed strong by the wedding, but Ciara and Ajay and especially Faye and Jack had us seriously questioning how things would look once the cameras stopped rolling. Seeing all four couples almost a year later, looking happy and talking about houses, travelling, families and even more weddings, was actually very lovely. We went into this reunion fully prepared for at least one divorce announcement and instead got four successful marriages. Love Is Blind: UK, you got us.
