Hold onto your laughter, because Last One Laughing UK is coming back for Season 3. Prime Video has revealed the full cast for the 2027 series, with Lee Mack, Katherine Ryan, Harry Hill and Jon Richardson among the 10 comedians preparing to enter Jimmy Carr’s no-laughing challenge. The new series will also bring a big change to the format, as Roisin Conaty leaves the safety of Jimmy’s control room and becomes a contestant herself. Mel Giedroyc, who competed in Season 2, will take over as Jimmy’s deputy. Richard Ayoade is also heading back into the room after coming agonisingly close to winning the first season, where he was ultimately beaten by Bob Mortimer.

The complete Season 3 line-up is Lee Mack, Katherine Ryan, Harry Hill, Katherine Parkinson, Michelle de Swarte, Jon Richardson, Morgana Robinson, Josh Jones, Richard Ayoade and Roisin Conaty.
It is another brilliant collection of comedians for a show entirely built around finding out who is capable of keeping a straight face. Lee Mack seems almost unfair in a format where the whole point is making other people laugh, Katherine Ryan and Jon Richardson should both be fascinating to watch under pressure, and Harry Hill being given an entire room of comedians to break feels like it could go almost anywhere. Morgana Robinson is another name we can already imagine causing complete havoc.
Ayoade gets another shot at the trophy after making it all the way to the final showdown against Bob Mortimer in Season 1. Conaty, meanwhile, faces a completely different challenge after spending the first two seasons watching proceedings alongside Jimmy Carr rather than trying to survive them herself.
What Is Changing in Last One Laughing UK Season 3?
The biggest switch is Conaty becoming a contestant, with Giedroyc moving into the control room alongside Carr. Giedroyc knows exactly what the comedians are facing after competing during Season 2, so seeing her on the other side of the challenge should add another fun dynamic to the show.
The central rules remain wonderfully simple. Ten comedians spend the day together and attempt to make everyone else laugh without cracking themselves. Laugh and you are out. Across the series, they can use their own material, performances and whatever else they can think of to break their opponents, with surprise comedy cameos and format twists thrown in along the way.
When Is Last One Laughing UK Season 3 Coming Out?
Last One Laughing UK Season 3 will premiere on Prime Video in 2027. An exact date has not been announced.
Before then, fans will get another trip into the room with a four-part Halloween special launching on Friday, 23 October 2026. Jack Dee, Phil Wang, Reece Shearsmith, Harriet Dyer and Tom Allen will compete alongside returning Season 1 contestants Daisy May Cooper and Lou Sanders. The first three episodes arrive on 23 October, with the finale following on 30 October.
Who Could Win Last One Laughing UK Season 3?
Trying to predict a winner this early feels almost impossible, especially after the first two seasons proved that being one of the funniest people in the room does not necessarily mean you will be the best at keeping a straight face. Ayoade already knows exactly how close he can get, but having experienced the format once might either be a huge advantage or make everyone target him immediately.
For CultureCues, this might be one of the strongest Last One Laughing UK casts yet. Lee Mack, Katherine Ryan, Harry Hill, Jon Richardson and Morgana Robinson alone would make for a great comedy line-up, and adding Ayoade back into the room makes it even better. We are also very excited to see how Roisin Conaty copes once she no longer has the control room protecting her from everyone else. After two seasons watching the chaos from a safe distance, it is finally her turn to try not to laugh.
