Scott and Kip are officially coming back for Heated Rivalry Season 2. Crave has confirmed that François Arnaud and Robbie G.K. will reprise their roles as Scott Hunter and Kip Grady, joining Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie for the next chapter of the hit hockey romance.

The pair became huge fan favourites during Season 1, with Scott and Kip’s relationship leading to that very public kiss on the ice. Their decision to stop hiding also became an important moment for Shane and Ilya, giving them a glimpse of what their own relationship could look like outside the secrecy they had lived with.

Arnaud had already hinted that Scott and Kip would be back, and Crave has now made their return official. It is unclear how much of Season 2 will focus on the couple, although both characters continue to appear in Rachel Reid’s Game Changers series. Several more familiar faces are returning too. Sophie Nélisse will reprise her role as Rose, with Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova back as Svetlana. Christina Chang and Dylan Walsh return as Shane’s parents, while Callan Potter and Benjamin Roy are back as Montreal teammates Hayden and JJ. Kamilla Kowal will also return as Hayden’s wife, Jacki.

Season 2 is bringing in plenty of new characters as well. Justice Smith has been cast as Harris Drover, with Charlie Gillespie playing Ottawa hockey player Troy Barrett. Their relationship comes from Reid’s novel Role Model, which will provide another major storyline alongside Shane and Ilya.

Daniel Diemer joins as Ryan Price, with Shaheen Jafargholi as Fabian Salah, Emily Hampshire as Vanessa, Edvin Ryding as Luca Haas, Robert Naylor as Wyatt Hayes, Priyanka as Tarek and Sabrina Jalees as sports agent Farah.

Creator Jacob Tierney has previously confirmed that Season 2 will primarily adapt The Long Game, which continues Shane and Ilya’s story as they try to maintain their relationship while still keeping it hidden from the wider hockey world. The season will also bring in material from Role Model, allowing Troy and Harris’ romance to develop alongside them.

Filming began in August around Toronto, with Williams and Storrie returning as Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov. UK viewers will be able to watch the new season on Sky and NOW in spring 2027.

At CultureCues, we are very happy Scott and Kip are officially coming back. They were one of our favourite parts of Season 1, and that ice-rink kiss was such a huge moment, not just for them but for Shane and Ilya too. We have also had Wolf Parade’s “I’ll Believe in Anything” permanently stuck in our brain since that scene. We would happily take plenty more of their relationship in Season 2, and like so many fans, we are hoping we might even get a wedding. Please!!
