Gemma Collins is returning to reality television with a brand-new Sky Original series, and we now know exactly when it starts. Gemma Collins: Everything. All At Once. launches on 15 September on Sky and NOW, following Gemma through one of the most personal years of her life.
The eight-part series promises to show more of the woman behind “The GC”, with cameras following Gemma as she balances her relationship with partner Rami Hawash, her family, career and hopes for the future. When filming begins, Gemma and Rami are preparing for their wedding and hoping to start a family, but their plans face a number of unexpected challenges as the year unfolds.
A major part of the series will follow Gemma’s fertility journey as she begins questioning whether she has left it too late to have the family she has always wanted. Rami also faces challenges of his own, putting further pressure on the couple as they try to work through everything together.
The cameras will also follow Gemma as she supports the people closest to her while continuing her career in the public eye. Later in the year, she faces the loss of her mum, with the series documenting another deeply personal period for Gemma and her family.
Sky says the programme will give viewers much more access to Gemma away from the public persona audiences have known for years, including moments when she is vulnerable, exhausted and trying to process everything happening around her. There will still be plenty of the honesty and humour fans expect from Gemma, but the series looks set to show a much more personal side of her life too.
For CultureCues, we are really interested to see this side of Gemma. She has been such a familiar face in British reality TV for years, but this sounds much more personal than many of the programmes we have seen her in before. Eight episodes following such a huge year in her life should give viewers a very different look at the person behind “The GC”, and we will definitely be watching when it arrives later this month.
