The doors to the Big Brother house are almost open, and ITV has now given fans their first full look inside the redesigned home ahead of the 2026 series launching this Sunday. This year’s house has been completely refreshed with deep red, green, blue and wood tones across the main living spaces, alongside a new bedroom, bathroom, garden and hot tub. There is also a new Diary Room chair built around the familiar Big Brother eye, ready for the next group of housemates when they move in for the eight-week series.

What Does the Big Brother 2026 House Look Like?

The main living area has been given a dramatic new look, with six green sofas curving together to create one large seating area. Burgundy cushions, a round gold table and red carpeting continue the colour scheme, while a matching red cabinet sits beneath the screen where housemates will discover nominations, evictions and whatever else Big Brother has planned for them.

The dining area continues the eye-inspired design with a gold table and terracotta-coloured chairs. Across the room, the kitchen is finished in green with a black-and-white checked floor, alongside a central island with seating.

One of the biggest changes is the new Diary Room chair, which once again takes inspiration directly from the Big Brother eye logo. The new chair is bright red, with a central eye design surrounded by rounded red details and a matching cushion. It is one of the boldest parts of the redesigned house and will, of course, be where the new contestants head for nominations, private conversations and their regular chats with Big Brother.

The bedroom brings another mix of bright colours, with a blue, green and orange patterned carpet beneath beds decorated in orange tones.

The bathroom continues the red colour scheme, with steps leading up to a large bathtub and gold shower enclosures nearby. The housemates might be cut off from the outside world, but at least Big Brother has given them somewhere fairly dramatic to get ready for eviction night.

What Does the Big Brother 2026 Garden Look Like?

Outside, the housemates will have access to a large garden with a lawn, covered patio and outdoor seating area. There is also a hot tub, which history tells us has every chance of becoming one of the busier parts of the house once the series gets going.

The garden completes the first full look at the new home before the actual housemates arrive, although ITV’s promise of a “house of surprises” suggests there could still be more features and twists waiting to be revealed once the series begins.

When Does Big Brother 2026 Start?

Big Brother returns on Sunday, 13 September at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with AJ Odudu and Will Best back as hosts.

Before the official launch, fans can also get an early look inside the house through the show’s first-ever public dry run. Angry Ginge and the Bov Boys are moving in for a 24-hour livestream as the production team puts the cameras and house through their final tests ahead of Sunday night. You can read all about the Big Brother dry run and how to watch it here.

The new series will run for eight weeks, while Big Brother: The Group Chat, hosted by Kate Lawler and GK Barry, will follow the main show from Sunday to Thursday. You can read more about the new series, including the full Big Brother schedule and details on Big Brother: The Group Chat, in our guide here.

For CultureCues, seeing the house is always the point where a new Big Brother series starts to feel properly close. The new Diary Room chair is definitely going to get people talking, and we love how different the red and green living room looks this year. Between the new house, the 24-hour dry run and a fresh group of housemates moving in tomorrow, we are very ready to have Big Brother back on our screens.

Big Brother 2026 launches at 9pm on Sunday, 13 September on ITV2 and ITVX.
