Fontaines D.C. have announced a surprise London show at the Roundhouse next week, with the band raising money for mental health charity CALM. The concert will take place on Thursday 15 October, the night before the release of the band’s fifth album, Dopamine Chamber. Net proceeds from the show will be donated to CALM, with tickets being distributed through a ballot in an attempt to keep them with fans rather than resellers.
Anyone hoping to be there will need to move quickly, because registration for the ballot closes today, Saturday 10 October, at 3pm BST.
How to Get Fontaines D.C. Roundhouse Tickets
Fans need to register for the ticket ballot before 3pm BST on Saturday 10 October. Successful applicants will then be chosen at random and sent a code by midday on Monday 12 October. Tickets will go on sale to successful registrants at 2pm on Monday 12 October. The Roundhouse has made clear that registering for the ballot does not guarantee a ticket, and receiving a purchase code does not guarantee one either. You can register for the ballot here.
Fans who previously registered for another Fontaines D.C. show will still need to enter this ballot, although they will not need to complete text verification again.
The show comes just one day before Dopamine Chamber is released, making the Roundhouse date a very well-timed celebration of the new album as well as a fundraiser for CALM.
For CultureCues, this is such a good surprise for Fontaines D.C. fans, especially with the show happening the night before the new album arrives. The Roundhouse is a brilliant setting for a more intimate gig like this, and raising money for CALM makes the night even more worthwhile. If you want to be there, though, do not hang about because that ballot closes this afternoon.
Fontaines D.C. play London’s Roundhouse on Thursday 15 October.
