Tempting Fortune returns to Channel 4 tonight, Tuesday, 22 September, as 12 new contestants head into the Malaysian jungle with £300,000 at stake. Series 3 sees Rob Beckett take over as host from Paddy McGuinness as the contestants embark on a 13-day trek through Langkawi with only basic rations and equipment. Along the way, they will repeatedly be offered food, home comforts, experiences and other temptations, but anything they choose to buy comes directly out of the group’s shared prize fund.

What Time Is Tempting Fortune on Tonight?

Tempting Fortune Series 3 begins at 9.30pm on Tuesday, 22 September on Channel 4, directly after The Great British Bake Off. Episodes will also be available to watch through Channel 4 streaming.

This year brings another change to the game, with the 12 Fortune Seekers divided into two groups at the beginning of the trek. Each group will have to trust that the other is not secretly spending money while they are apart, before the contestants eventually discover exactly what has been happening to their shared £300,000 pot.

How Many Episodes Are in Tempting Fortune Series 3?

There are eight episodes in Tempting Fortune Series 3, with new episodes airing weekly on Tuesdays on Channel 4. If the series keeps to that schedule, the finale is expected to air on Tuesday, 10 November.

Tuesday, 13 October – Episode 4
Tuesday, 20 October – Episode 5

Channel 4 has not yet confirmed every date in that schedule, so the later episodes and finale date should be treated as expected for now. We will update this page if the broadcaster changes the transmission pattern.

Who Is Taking Part in Tempting Fortune 2026?

The 12 contestants taking on the challenge this year are Charlotte, Cressida, Jack, Jennie, Kieran, Lucy, Nico, Sam, Sarah, Shaf, Tierney and Yvonne. They range from a 22-year-old medical student to a former diplomat, teacher, roofer, support worker and PR director, with each arriving in Malaysia with very different ideas about what they would and would not be willing to spend the group’s money on.

For CultureCues, Tempting Fortune is one of those reality shows where we know we will be shouting at the television the minute somebody starts spending thousands from the prize pot, but let’s be real, put a Greggs steak bake in front of us after days in the jungle and we would probably be reaching for that too. Splitting the contestants into two groups should make the arguments over money even better this year, and Rob Beckett feels like a fun choice to take over as host. We will be watching tonight to see how long that £300,000 lasts.
