Netflix has released the first teaser for The Gentlemen Season 2, confirming that Guy Ritchie’s crime series will return on 3 September 2026. Theo James and Kaya Scodelario are back as Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass, with the new season picking up one year after the pair joined forces in Bobby Glass’ criminal empire. Eddie, once the reluctant heir to his family’s country estate, now seems more comfortable in the world he was originally trying to escape. According to executive producer and co-writer Matthew Read, Eddie is “extremely aspirational” this season. In other words, he wants more.
This time, that ambition is taking Eddie and Susie beyond the cannabis empire buried beneath Halstead and into Italy, where they are trying to establish a foothold for their expanding operation. The first teaser gives fans a glimpse of a much bigger playing field, with lakeside villas, luxury deals and the kind of beautifully dressed criminal chaos The Gentlemen does so well.

Of course, expansion rarely comes without problems. Season 2 will see Eddie and Susie dealing with Bobby’s increasingly unsound decisions as they decide whether to act or risk losing everything. As alliances are tested, the new season looks set to dig into Eddie’s hunger for power and his complicated partnership with Susie.
Ray Winstone returns as Bobby Glass, with Vinnie Jones back as Geoff Seacombe and Joely Richardson returning as Lady Sabrina. Daniel Ings, Jasmine Blackborow, Michael Vu, Harry Goodwins, Ruby Sear, Pearce Quigley and Giancarlo Esposito are also back for the new season.

The new cast includes Hugh Bonneville as Lord Hawthorne, Michele Morrone as Cico Maldini, Benedetta Porcaroli as Bella, Sergio Castellitto as Italian crime boss Marco Moretti, Amra Mallassi as Amir, Tyler Conti, Benjamin Clementine, Chris Eubank Jr and Maya Jama. An impressive line-up, to say the least.

Ritchie created the series and serves as writer alongside Matthew Read. Ritchie and Eran Creevy direct, with the series executive produced by Ritchie, Will Gould, Read, Frith Tiplady, Simon Crawford Collins for Moonage Pictures, and Ivan Atkinson. Laura Jackson and Max Keene produce. The Gentlemen is produced by Moonage Pictures, part of ITV Studios, and Miramax Television for Netflix.
For CultureCues, this looks like a very strong return for one of Netflix’s slickest British crime series. Theo James and Kaya Scodelario’s performances, along with the chemistry between Eddie and Susie, were a huge part of why Season 1 worked. Taking their operation to Italy gives Season 2 a stylish new setting to play with, with the beautiful scenery adding to the show’s polished world. The teaser has the danger and criminal glamour we wanted, so yes, this is firmly on our watchlist.
We are ready for more badly behaved aristocrats and criminal power moves.
The Gentlemen Season 2 premieres on Netflix on 3 September 2026.
