Netflix has released the first trailer for Little Brother, a new comedy starring John Cena and Eric André as two brothers whose reunion quickly spirals into family dysfunction. The film arrives on the streamer on 26 June. Directed by Ingrid Goes West filmmaker Matt Spicer, Little Brother follows a successful real estate agent whose carefully organised life is thrown into disarray when his eccentric younger brother unexpectedly returns. According to Netflix, the film centres on a tightly wound realtor whose picture-perfect life gets an extreme makeover when his lovably chaotic “little brother” suddenly reappears.
Cena plays the successful older sibling, a man whose carefully managed life is not built for surprise family reunions. That becomes a problem when André’s free-spirited younger brother reappears and starts pulling him into situations he clearly has no interest in being part of. The trailer makes their opposite personalities the main joke, with Cena’s polished realtor trying, and mostly failing, to keep things under control.
Alongside Cena and André, the film features Michelle Monaghan, known to many viewers for her recent role in The White Lotus. The supporting cast also includes Sherry Cola (Nobody Wants This), Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Ego Nwodim (Saturday Night Live) and Caleb Hearon (The Devil Wears Prada 2). The screenplay comes from The D-Train writers Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel.

The set-up is simple, but that works in its favour. The trailer puts Cena and André’s sibling dynamic front and centre, with plenty of comedy coming from how badly their two worlds fit together. Cena has become a reliably funny screen presence in recent years, while André brings the unpredictable energy that has made him a cult favourite through The Eric Andre Show and his wider film and TV work.
For CultureCues, the trailer looks like exactly the kind of high-energy comedy that benefits from strong chemistry between its leads. Cena and André appear to bounce off each other well, and if the film can maintain the trailer’s momentum, Little Brother could be a fun addition to Netflix’s summer line-up.
