Heated Rivalry Season 2 has added another three names to its growing cast, with Milla Jovovich, Kevin Zegers and Paul Gross joining the hit hockey romance ahead of its return in spring 2027. They join returning leads Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie as Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, alongside a Season 2 cast that has expanded considerably over the past few weeks.

Who Are Milla Jovovich, Kevin Zegers and Paul Gross Playing?

Milla Jovovich, known for Resident Evil and The Fifth Element, has been cast as Dr. Galina Molchalina. Kevin Zegers, whose credits include Transamerica and The Madison, will play Coach Wiebe, while Paul Gross joins as Commissioner Roger Crowell.

Further details about how the three characters fit into the Season 2 story have not been announced, but all three will become part of a season already bringing several new faces into Shane and Ilya’s hockey world.

The newcomers join Justice Smith as Harris Drover and Charlie Gillespie as Troy Barrett, alongside Daniel Diemer, Shaheen Jafargholi, Robert Naylor, Edvin Ryding, Emily Hampshire, Sabrina Jalees and Priyanka.

Who Is Returning for Heated Rivalry Season 2?

Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie will return as Shane and Ilya, while François Arnaud and Robbie G.K. were officially confirmed this week to be coming back as fan favourites Scott Hunter and Kip Grady.

Sophie Nélisse returns as Rose, with Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova back as Svetlana. Christina Chang and Dylan Walsh will reprise their roles as Shane’s parents, while Callan Potter, Benjamin Roy and Kamilla Kowal are also returning. That gives Season 2 a sizeable mix of familiar characters and newcomers as the series moves into the next stage of Shane and Ilya’s relationship.

What Will Heated Rivalry Season 2 Be About?

Season 2 will draw from The Long Game, the sixth novel in Rachel Reid’s Game Changers series, continuing Shane and Ilya’s story as their relationship becomes harder to keep separate from their careers.

The new episodes will follow the pair while they play for teams that are geographically closer and begin dealing with the possibility of taking their relationship public. The season will also include material from Role Model, bringing Troy and Harris’ romance into the series alongside Shane and Ilya.

Jacob Tierney returns as writer, director and executive producer, with Mike Goldbach serving as co-writer on Season 2. Rachel Reid remains involved as consulting producer.
