Netflix has released the first teaser for The Diplomat Season 4 and confirmed exactly when the political drama will be back. Keri Russell returns as Ambassador Kate Wyler on 15 October 2026, alongside Rufus Sewell, Allison Janney and Bradley Whitford, with the fallout from Season 3 putting both politics and marriage under serious pressure.
The teaser picks up with Kate and Hal’s relationship once again on uncertain ground. Kate insists she is not trying to leave their marriage but is attempting to find her way back into it, although creator Debora Cahn has already warned that “the fights are going to be spicy”. Meanwhile, Hal’s growing alliance with President Grace Penn is creating problems that extend well beyond the Wylers’ marriage.
