ITV has released a new 60-second trailer and first-look images from Trigger Point Series 4, with Vicky McClure returning as bomb-disposal officer Lana Washington. The six-part drama will return to ITV and ITVX soon, although an exact transmission date has not yet been announced.
The new footage throws Lana and her team straight back into danger as they protect London from explosive devices and terrorist threats. Frantic evacuations, complicated devices and tense confrontations fill the minute-long trailer, with ITV teasing Lana’s “greatest challenge yet”.
The first-look images show Lana back in action alongside fellow EXPO officers Danny, played by Eric Shango, and Hass, played by Nabil Elouahabi. Further images take viewers inside police headquarters with Natalie Simpson as DS Helen Morgan and Maanuv Thiara as DCI Batra.
Julie Graham joins the fourth series as guest star Commander Nia Quentin. Her exact role in the new investigation remains under wraps, but the newly released images place her alongside the police team as the latest threat begins to unfold.
Series 4 follows another successful run for the ITV drama. The first three series have generated 91 million streams and reached more than 20 million viewers across ITV and ITVX. The third series was ITV’s fifth most-watched drama of 2025 and ranked seventh across all UK channels and streaming services, averaging seven million viewers. “I love working with the team, we have a great time making the show and I cannot wait to continue Lana’s journey on Trigger Point,” McClure said.
The new episodes are written by Bloodlands creator Chris Brandon and directed by Jennie Darnell, whose credits include Payback and Line of Duty, and Nirpal Bhogal, known for DI Ray and Grace. Kristian Dench serves as series producer, with Kingsley Hoskins producing one of the production blocks.
Jed Mercurio, Daniel Walker, Jessica Sharkey, Chris Brandon and McClure serve as executive producers. HTM Television produces the series, with All3Media International handling global distribution.
