Spidey fans, the wait is almost over and Peter Parker’s next chapter is nearly here. Sony Pictures has released the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, revisiting his journey before revealing more of the lonely life he now faces in a world where nobody remembers him.
Set four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home, the film finds Peter living alone in New York and devoting himself fully to fighting crime as Spider-Man. Watching MJ (Zendaya), Ned (Jacob Batalon) and the people he loves move on without him begins to take its toll, sparking a change in Peter that he may not be able to control. That transformation could also become his only chance of stopping a powerful new villain who cannot be seen.
The trailer places Peter’s relationship with MJ at the centre of the story, revisiting moments from the previous films and the heartbreaking, selfless sacrifice that left her with no memory of him. Tom Holland returns as Peter alongside Zendaya and Batalon, with the cast also including Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.
The new footage offers another look at Spider-Man facing Ruffalo’s Hulk, while continuing to tease Bernthal’s Punisher and the mystery surrounding Sink’s character. Peter may be trying to protect the city full-time, but the trailer makes it clear that losing his old life has left him more vulnerable and under increasing pressure.
Destin Daniel Cretton directs from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, with Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O’Connor producing. The film marks a new chapter for Holland’s Spider-Man following the events of No Way Home, with Marvel describing Peter as an adult now living entirely alone after erasing himself from the lives and memories of those he loves.
For CultureCues, this final trailer really leans into the part of Peter’s story that still hurts most. Watching him see MJ and Ned move on without him is painful, while the pressure building around him and the changes he is going through make this look like a much darker chapter for Holland’s Spider-Man. We are still holding out hope that Peter and MJ find their way back to each other, but it looks like he has a lot to survive first.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives in cinemas on 31 July 2026.
