The first trailer for The Crow Girl Season 2 has arrived, bringing Eve Myles and Katherine Kelly back for another dark investigation when the Paramount+ crime thriller returns on 20 July 2026. Myles reprises her role as DCI Jeanette Kilburn alongside Kelly as psychotherapist Dr Sophia Craven.
The new six-part season follows Jeanette as she investigates the deaths of young male asylum seekers, only for the case to take a shocking turn when a mummified body is found inside a church wall and another is discovered in a freezer. The two bodies reveal a disturbing connection, while Sophia begins to suspect that her mysterious former patient Victoria Burkeman, played by Clara Rugaard, may be involved.
As Jeanette and Sophia are drawn into a web of historic abuse and buried truths, the case tests both their judgement and their trust in one another. “Justice will be hers,” warns the trailer, which also brings their increasingly complicated relationship back into focus. The pair grew closer throughout the first season, but this new investigation looks set to place even more strain on that connection.

The first season opened with the discovery of a teenage boy’s body and followed Jeanette and Sophia as they uncovered decades of missing children and police corruption. The case pulled both women into dangerous territory, and their working relationship became increasingly personal as the investigation continued.
The Crow Girl is inspired by the bestselling trilogy written by Jerker Eriksson and Håkan Sundquist under the name Erik Axl Sund. The novels were adapted for television by Milly Thomas, with Buccaneer Media producing the series in association with ITV Studios.
For CultureCues, Jeanette and Sophia’s complicated partnership was one of the strongest parts of the first season, so we are looking forward to seeing how this new case changes things between them. The discoveries inside the church wall and freezer immediately give Season 2 a gripping mystery, and it looks like there are plenty more secrets waiting to be uncovered.
