Camp Rock is officially reopening its doors. Disney has confirmed that Camp Rock 3 will premiere on Disney+ on 14 August 2026, with a new teaser and the film’s first original song, “One Beat Away”, now released. The latest footage introduces the next generation of campers hoping to make their mark while offering a first look at Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas back together as Connect 3.

More than 15 years after Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, the brothers are returning to the place where their story began, although this time they will be searching for someone else to take centre stage. The new film begins when Connect 3 unexpectedly loses the opening act for its upcoming reunion tour. Shane Gray (Joe Jonas), Nate Gray (Nick Jonas) and Jason Gray (Kevin Jonas) return to Camp Rock in search of the next big talent.

The campers soon begin competing for the chance to open for their favourite band, putting friendships under pressure as new alliances, secrets and romances emerge. The teaser focuses on Sage, played by Liamani Segura, as she prepares to compete for the coveted tour opportunity. It also features the first performance of “One Beat Away”, the opening single from the film’s new soundtrack.

“One Beat Away” is available now across major music streaming platforms.

Segura leads the new generation of campers alongside Malachi Barton as Fletch, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, Hudson Stone as Desi, Casey Trotter as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie and Ava Jean as Madison. Sherry Cola also joins the cast as Lark, while Maria Canals-Barrera returns as Connie, Mitchie Torres’ mother.

Demi Lovato has not currently been announced to reprise the role of Mitchie on screen, but she remains closely involved with the franchise as an executive producer alongside Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas.

The film is directed by Veronica Rodriguez from a screenplay by Eydie Faye, with choreography from Jamal Sims. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series creator Tim Federle also serves as an executive producer.

The original Camp Rock premiered in 2008 and introduced audiences to Mitchie, Shane and a summer camp filled with young musicians hoping to find their sound. Its success was followed by Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam in 2010, with both films becoming major Disney Channel favourites and their songs continuing to find new audiences through streaming and social media. The third film brings the franchise into a new era while retaining one of its biggest connections to the originals through the return of Connect 3.

For CultureCues, hearing the Jonas Brothers back as Shane, Nate and Jason brings all the Camp Rock nostalgia rushing back. The new generation of campers gives the story somewhere fresh to go, and having Connect 3 return to find their own opening act makes the sequel feel nicely connected to where it all began. We already know we will be singing along when Camp Rock reopens this summer. Let’s go, rockers!
