Ashley and Gordon are back, although they are still a long way from figuring out whether they should actually be together. The trailer for Colin From Accounts Season 3 has arrived, bringing Harriet Dyer and Patrick Brammall back as the wonderfully complicated couple. The new season will premiere in Australia on 27 July, with the opening two episodes arriving together before the remaining six are released weekly.

Season 3 picks up after Gordon’s badly timed proposal during Megan and Rumi’s wedding at the end of the previous chapter. Ashley was understandably unimpressed by his decision to propose while drunk, in front of everyone and during her best friend’s celebration.

The trailer finds Gordon attempting to defend the proposal as a moment of spontaneity, although Ashley quickly points out that the ring in his pocket suggests otherwise. Both are now determined to move past the embarrassment, but leaving their shared baggage behind appears easier said than done. As their lives continue moving forward, something keeps pulling Ashley and Gordon back towards each other, raising the question of whether they truly belong together or Colin is the only reason their futures remain connected.

The new episodes will find the couple dealing with further problems in their personal and professional lives, alongside family disagreements and changing friendships.

Created and written by Dyer and Brammall, who are married in real life, Colin From Accounts began with Ashley and Gordon being brought together through an accidental flash, a car crash and the injured dog they later named Colin. Their relationship has remained wonderfully imperfect ever since, with the series finding much of its comedy in their arguments, awkward conversations and inability to handle serious moments without making everything even more complicated.

Returning cast members include Emma Harvie as Megan, Virginia Gay as Rumi, Genevieve Hegney as Chiara, Michael Logo as Brett and Helen Thomson as Ashley’s mother, Lynelle. Thomas Cocquerel, Nikki Shiels and Mark Trevorrow are among the new additions joining the cast for Season 3.

Executive producers Rob Gibson and Ian Collie said it was a joy to reunite the cast and crew for another season. “Most of all, thanks to Patty and Harri for putting everything into this very special show and making magic with Gordon, Ashley, Colin and the rest of the gang all over again,” they said.

The eight-episode season is produced by Easy Tiger Productions and CBS Studios. Trent O’Donnell will direct four episodes, with Dyer stepping behind the camera to direct the remaining four.

For CultureCues, Colin From Accounts remains one of the funniest and most natural romantic comedies because Ashley and Gordon are frustratingly human. The proposal was never going to make their relationship simpler, and the trailer promises another season of them arguing, embarrassing themselves and somehow continuing to find their way back to each other. We cannot wait to have them, and of course Colin, back.

Colin From Accounts Season 3 premieres in Australia on Binge and Foxtel on 27 July 2026. A UK release date has not been confirmed, although the first two seasons aired on BBC Two and are available on BBC iPlayer.
