Prime Video has revealed the first teaser for Vought Rising, the upcoming prequel series set within the world of The Boys. The new series stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, and is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video in 2027. Set in the 1950s, Vought Rising explores the twisted origins of Vought International, the powerful corporation at the centre of The Boys universe. The teaser offers a first look at the world, tone and story of the prequel, taking the franchise back to where its corporate nightmare began.
The teaser also arrives just after The Boys brought its fifth and final season to a close on 20 May 2026, making Vought Rising the next major step for the franchise. With the flagship series now wrapped, the prequel gives Prime Video a way to keep exploring the show’s world while moving the story back to Vought’s earliest days.
The series marks another expansion of The Boys franchise, following the global success of the Emmy-winning Prime Video hit. All series in The Boys universe are available to stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Ackles and Cash will also serve as producers on Vought Rising. The series also stars Mason Dye, Will Hochman, KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Elizabeth Posey, Ricky Staffieri and Brian J. Smith.
Paul Grellong serves as showrunner and executive producer, with The Boys creator Eric Kripke also executive producing. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr and Jim Barnes also executive produce.
The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures and Original Film.
