HBO Max has released a new two-minute “Coming Soon” trailer offering viewers a look at the streamer’s upcoming slate for the rest of 2026. The preview includes returning favourites, major franchise titles and several original series making their debut later this year. Among the biggest attractions are new glimpses of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, House of the Dragon, Lanterns, The Gilded Age and Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, alongside first looks at a number of previously unseen HBO Originals.
For many viewers, the most anticipated footage will be the latest tease of HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter television adaptation. Following the record-breaking teaser released earlier this year, the new trailer includes a brief look at the young wizard taking to the Quidditch pitch ahead of the series’ Christmas Day premiere.

DC fans also get another glimpse of Lanterns, including Kyle Chandler suited up as Green Lantern Hal Jordan. The mystery-focused superhero series is scheduled to arrive on 16 August and remains one of HBO Max’s most closely watched upcoming projects.
The trailer also highlights the return of House of the Dragon, with Season 3 premiering on 21 June. The Gilded Age receives an early tease of its fourth season, continuing one of HBO’s most successful period dramas. Fresh footage is also included from Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, the upcoming Big Bang Theory spin-off centred on comic book store owner Stuart Bloom. The comedy series premieres on 23 July.

Several brand-new originals also make an appearance, including Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, arriving on 26 June, as well as documentary and drama projects Monsters of God, The Man Will Burn, War and Youth, all scheduled for release later in 2026. It also offers a first look at Conan O’Brien Must Go Season 3 and Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Seattle Seahawks, which arrives in August.
For CultureCues, the combination of Harry Potter, House of the Dragon and Lanterns will undoubtedly grab the headlines, but some of the newly revealed originals could end up being the real surprises when they arrive later this year. Either way, HBO Max has our attention.
