Netflix has released the first trailer for Office Romance, a new romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein. Office Romance arrives on Netflix on Friday 5 June, bringing Lopez back to rom-com territory with one very risky HR situation.
Lopez plays Jackie Cruz, a powerful airline CEO who runs a tight ship, while Goldstein plays Daniel Blanchflower, the company’s newest lawyer. According to Netflix, the film follows two workaholics whose secret office romance takes off when they stop playing by the rules and start following their hearts. Very professional. No notes from legal.

The trailer leans into high-pressure boardrooms, stolen glances, workplace tension and the kind of chemistry that suggests nobody has read the employee handbook properly. It also gives Lopez another glamorous, high-powered rom-com role, while Goldstein brings the grounded, dryly funny warmth that made him such a standout in Ted Lasso.
Office Romance is directed by Ol Parker, whose credits include Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Ticket to Paradise, with Goldstein writing the script alongside Joe Kelly. The cast also includes Betty Gilpin, Amy Sedaris, Tony Hale, Bradley Whitford and Edward James Olmos.
For CultureCues, the appeal is simple: Jennifer Lopez in CEO mode, Brett Goldstein in unlikely romantic lead mode, and a Netflix summer rom-com that appears to understand exactly what it is selling. Sometimes, that is all the meeting agenda needs.
Office Romance premieres on Netflix on Friday 5 June.
