HBO released the first teaser for Succession Season 4 while also confirming that the new season will premiere on 26 March, setting the stage for another round of Roy family warfare.
Picking up after Season 3’s betrayal, the teaser finds Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) more united in their anger towards Logan Roy (Brian Cox) as the sale of Waystar Royco to Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) moves closer. As ever with Succession, the power plays look deeply personal, with private jets, wedding chaos and increasingly bitter family dynamics all back in the mix.
The footage also hints at Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) settling further into Logan’s orbit after his betrayal of Shiv, while Connor (Alan Ruck) and Willa (Justine Lupe) appear to be heading towards the altar, with the teaser balancing family fracture, power plays and wedding drama in typically Succession fashion. In other words, it already looks as messy, poisonous and darkly funny as fans would hope.
For CultureCues, the teaser suggests Succession is returning as ruthless as ever, with Season 4 looking set to push the Roys into even more vicious territory and raising the stakes for what should be another gripping chapter.
Succession Season 4 premieres on HBO on Sunday 26 March, with the UK release following on Sky Atlantic and NOW on Monday 27 March at 2am BST.
