I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner Angry Ginge has announced he is leaving the Bov Boys, sharing an emotional farewell to the popular YouTube group after more than a year together. The 24-year-old Twitch streamer, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, confirmed his departure in a joint Instagram post on Wednesday 4 November, thanking fans for their support and describing his fellow creators as his brothers for life.

The news has come as a surprise to fans of the group, which formed in July 2025 and features Ginge alongside fellow content creators Tays, Heinz Baines, NYKChazza and Jakey Davies. Since joining forces, the Bov Boys have built a huge online following, attracting more than 500,000 YouTube subscribers and over 350,000 Instagram followers. Known for their comedy challenges and group adventures, the boys have filmed everything from opening their own fake businesses, including a salon, pizza restaurant and car wash, to trips abroad and entertaining livestreams. However, Ginge has now confirmed that his time as an official member of the group has come to an end.

What Has Angry Ginge Said About Leaving the Bov Boys?

Announcing his departure on the group’s Instagram account, Ginge wrote: “I know this isn’t the news you were expecting, however, it’s the news that is here.” He went on to thank everyone who has supported the Bov Boys, saying: “Before I go any further, I just want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for all the love for the BOV Boys these last 12-18 months. Without you, the memories, support and love wouldn’t have been the same.”

Reflecting on his friendships with the group, he added: “The BOV Boys themselves are my brothers for life and I love them all as one. But in life, you never know where your story ends, and for me and BOV, the story ends here.” The streamer also looked back on some of his favourite memories, including their trip to Benidorm and their first recording together in London, before reassuring fans that his friendships with the other members would continue.

Although he is leaving the group, Ginge confirmed that he still expects to appear alongside the boys regularly on their livestreams. He explained that the decision had not been easy, but wished his friends every success as they continue without him.

Why Is Angry Ginge Leaving the Bov Boys?

Ginge has not publicly confirmed a specific reason for his departure, although he made it clear that the decision was a difficult one and that he remains close friends with the other members.

The announcement comes almost a year after he won I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in December 2025, becoming King of the Jungle and introducing himself to an even wider television audience. His popularity has continued to grow since his time in the Australian jungle, with the streamer expanding his presence beyond Twitch and YouTube.

His future with the Bov Boys had previously been questioned during his I’m a Celebrity appearance, when fellow members Tays and Jakey were asked on Good Morning Britain whether winning the ITV show might lead him to pursue other opportunities. For now, Ginge has not confirmed what he plans to do next, although fans will still be able to catch him streaming and appearing with his friends.

The Bov Boys have also teased a special farewell video featuring a mock funeral for Ginge, which is expected to be released on Friday 6 November.

For CultureCues, this is certainly a surprise, especially given how popular the Bov Boys have become over the past year. Ginge has had an incredible run since winning I’m a Celebrity, and it’ll be interesting to see what he does next. It’s a shame for fans who have enjoyed watching the group together, but it’s good to hear that there are no hard feelings and that we’ll still be seeing him alongside the boys on their streams. We’re looking forward to seeing what comes next for both Ginge and the Bov Boys.
