Sky has released the first teaser for The Good Daughter, a new six-part psychological thriller starring Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy as sisters whose lives were changed by a violent event 20 years earlier.

Based on Karin Slaughter’s bestselling novel of the same name, the limited series arrives exclusively on Sky and NOW in the UK and Ireland this November. Brendan Gleeson, Olivia Williams, Harper Steele, Michael Dorman, Audrey Grace Marshall and Drew Cheek also star.

What Is The Good Daughter About?

Fahy plays Charlotte Quinn, who has followed her father into law, while Byrne stars as her sister Samantha. The pair have spent two decades trying to rebuild their lives after a night of violence fractured their family, but another attack in their hometown of Pikeville forces them back into the past.

The official synopsis reads: “The Good Daughter is a suspenseful thriller wrapped in a deeply emotional story about love, family, and resilience. Sisters Charlotte (Meghann Fahy) and Samantha (Rose Byrne) Quinn have spent the last twenty years trying to piece together the lives that were fractured by a single night of violence. When another attack splinters the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte, now a lawyer like her father, is the first witness on the scene. As the case unfolds and twists through painful memories and buried secrets, what emerges is not just a story of survival, but of enduring ties between a father and his daughters – and the complex bond between sisters.”

Who Stars in The Good Daughter?

Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy lead the series as Samantha and Charlotte Quinn, with Brendan Gleeson also among the main cast. Olivia Williams, Harper Steele, Michael Dorman, Audrey Grace Marshall and Drew Cheek round out the series regulars.

Karin Slaughter, who wrote the original novel, has written all six episodes and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Steph Green directs every episode and also executive produces, while Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky, Casey Haver and Byrne are among the other executive producers.

When Is The Good Daughter on Sky?

The Good Daughter will premiere on Sky and NOW in the UK and Ireland in November 2026. Sky has not announced an exact release date yet. The limited series consists of six episodes and is produced by Made Up Stories in partnership with Fifth Season, which is also handling international distribution.

For CultureCues, this looks very good. The teaser is gripping and intense without giving too much away, and Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy are a great pairing to lead it. Add Brendan Gleeson and Olivia Williams to that cast and there is already plenty here to put The Good Daughter firmly on our November watchlist.
