Phoebe Bridgers has announced her third studio album, Lost Weekend, which will be released on 14 August through Dead Oceans. The record marks her first solo album in six years, following the release of Punisher in 2020, and after such a long wait, we are more than ready to hear where she takes us next.

Bridgers revealed the album title and artwork on social media, while confirming that the first song from the project will arrive on Thursday, 25 June. A tracklist and further details about the record have not yet been shared, allowing plenty of mystery to remain around her long-awaited return.

The announcement follows a series of surprise live performances across the US, including an intimate, phone-free show at Madison Square Garden earlier this month. Bridgers performed several unreleased songs during the concert, giving fans an early introduction to the new chapter before officially confirming the album.

Since Punisher, Bridgers has performed alongside Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker as boygenius. The trio released their Grammy-winning album The Record in 2023 before announcing a hiatus from the group.

Bridgers will take Lost Weekend on the road with The Lost Tour, which begins in September and includes dates across North America, the UK, Ireland and Europe. The UK run will visit Manchester’s Co-op Live on 26 November, Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 27 November and Birmingham’s bp pulse LIVE on 28 November, before finishing with two nights at The O2 in London on 1 and 2 December. Alex G will support the North American shows, with Isaac Wood joining the UK and European dates. Every concert will be phone-free, with recording devices secured in Yondr pouches upon arrival.

For CultureCues, six years has been a very long wait for another Phoebe Bridgers solo record, but the secrecy surrounding this new era has only made the anticipation grow. With new music arriving tomorrow, our lost weekend may be about to begin.
