The second trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has arrived, revealing Peter Parker’s struggle to control his evolving powers and a destructive confrontation with the Hulk. Tom Holland returns for his fourth solo Spider-Man film, which reaches cinemas on 31 July 2026.

Set four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home, the film finds Peter Parker (Tom Holland) living alone in a world where nobody remembers his identity, including MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon). He has dedicated himself fully to protecting New York as Spider-Man, but the trailer shows him still watching his former friends from a distance as his powers begin to change in potentially dangerous ways.

Peter turns to Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) for help understanding the physical transformation, although their conversation does not remain peaceful for long. The trailer shows Banner becoming the Hulk and attacking Peter, who appears understandably surprised by just how large his fellow Avenger can become.

The footage also gives Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, better known as the Punisher, a larger role. Peter and Frank appear to form an uneasy partnership despite their very different approaches to fighting crime, with the pair joining forces as the threat facing New York becomes clearer.

Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan, making his long-awaited comeback after first appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming. This time, Gargan is fully suited as Scorpion and ready to take his revenge on Spider-Man.

Sadie Sink also appears in the trailer, although the identity of her character remains unconfirmed. The mystery has already inspired theories connecting her to several Marvel figures, but Sony and Marvel are clearly keeping that particular reveal for later. Watch the new trailer below!

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, whose previous Marvel credits include Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The cast also includes Tramell Tillman, with Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna returning to write alongside Justin Kuritzkes.

Anticipation was already extremely high following the first trailer, which attracted 718.6 million views during its opening 24 hours in March. That made it the most-watched film trailer launch on record, passing the previous benchmark set by Deadpool & Wolverine.

For CultureCues, the new trailer offers a promising mix of Peter’s personal struggles and the larger Marvel action audiences have come to expect. Holland facing Ruffalo’s Hulk is already a major selling point, so adding Bernthal’s Punisher and Mando’s Scorpion gives the film an even stronger supporting line-up. We are looking forward to seeing Spidey back on the big screen. We are also very ready to discover who Sadie Sink is playing, because the theories are becoming almost as complicated as the multiverse.
