A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season two arrives on BBC iPlayer today, 27 May, with all six episodes available to stream in the UK ahead of transmission on BBC One and BBC Three.

Based on Holly Jackson’s bestselling novels, the second season sees Emma Myers return as Pippa “Pip” Fitz-Amobi, who is dealing with the fallout of solving the Andie Bell case while trying to avoid any more investigations. Naturally, that does not last long. As Max Hastings’ trial approaches, Connor Reynolds’ brother Jamie suddenly disappears, pulling Pip back into another mystery with the clock ticking.

The new season is based on Good Girl, Bad Blood, the second book in Jackson’s series, and follows Pip as she searches for Jamie while wrestling with the consequences of season one. After uncovering the truth about Andie Bell’s murder and proving Sal Singh’s innocence, Pip’s world has already changed. Season two seems ready to push her even further, especially as her idea of justice starts to unravel.

Myers is joined once again by Zain Iqbal as Ravi Singh, Asha Banks as Cara Ward, Jude Morgan-Collie as Connor Reynolds, Henry Ashton as Max Hastings, Yali Topol Margalith as Lauren Gibson, Gary Beadle as Victor Amobi and Anna Maxwell Martin as Leanne Amobi. New cast members include Eden H Davies as Jamie Reynolds, Misia Butler as Stanley Forbes, Jack Rowan as Charlie Green and Freddie England as Robin.

The first season became a major success for the BBC when it launched in summer 2024, becoming one of BBC iPlayer’s most watched titles with 16 to 24-year-olds and BBC Three’s highest-rating drama since its relaunch.

For CultureCues, this feels like a very welcome return for Pip and Ravi. The first season had the kind of mystery that kept viewers pressing “next episode,” and with a missing person case, a looming trial and plenty of emotional fallout still to come, season two sounds like it has more than enough clues to keep us hooked.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season two is streaming now on BBC iPlayer in the UK. Outside the UK, the series is available on Netflix in selected territories, including the US.
